Everyone's just pretty much accepted it, we're sort of of the view that signings will come.. eventually.. but Slutsky was suggesting signings would be coming in this week and it doesn't sound like it so he's blown his lid with Ehab, a lot of suggestions he may end up quitting. If he does, and we have 6-7 senior players, I don't know where to from there.

At a guess you'd have to promote from the academy? I don't suppose there's any good kids coming through there?

No, we just didn't sign anyone last season. Players weren't jumping ship. Apart from Diame.

Yeah injuries was our main issue. We did have a smallish squad, but then when you consider we sold two in January, signed two (Evandro and Grosicki) and a bunch of loans, and have now sold a further four with two being released (Maloney and Bruce) it's not great.

Yep. Grates a bit seeing the amount of money being thrown around in the PL as if it's nothing, and seeing supporters complaining when they haven't made a signing that week. But it's all about perspective I suppose.

Seeing Man City fans crack the shits over paying over the odds for Kyle Walker when we can only afford Bury's top goal scorer along with kids from Everton on loan says a lot with how much fans of certain clubs are used to spending big money on anyone. We spent 10 million on Borini a few years ago and now we're 100 million in debt with a few years in the wilderness ahead. And you guys are obviously in an even worse position.
