Ripping value in hindsight.
Was a really smart buy and fit our style perfectly.

You'll win the league.Think the clubs expectations are more around champions league than league. Semis probably would be considered a decent result. Think a trophyless season would have him under a lot of pressure.
I'm more bothered with the league. If we're out of it before April I'll be disappointed.
Yeah cos the cash was never splashed on players. Van Nistelrooy, Veron, Ferdinand, Cole, Yorke, Keane (which was a record at the time), Berbatov to name a few.Jeez. All that talk about who spends what and how much. I'd love to see the current crop of managers have a net spend of £44M and win the league twice, finish runner up on the last kick of the league campaign and finish 2nd by a point in another season, which is what Sir Alex Ferguson did in his final four seasons.
His largest spend in a season was £92M on four key acquisitions (that includes Hargreaves and the loan + purchase fee of Tevez) and still only had a net spend of £51M for that season.
That is what I call a manager.

Hard to tell. Theres a lot of gossip about a CB but nothing concrete and every now and then someone comes out saying the club are happy with what we've got.
Few people suggesting VVD and Keita which would go down well. Can't see either but a CB, CM and a forward would probably finish this summers spending.
Put it this way Liverpool didn't rip us off stealing him for nothing!Lol, everyone seems to have a different opinion on him. Some can't believe you let him go so cheap, some can't believe you got more than 1m for him!
Would love to know who these people are that think we let him go heaps cheap. Surely pulling your leg.
I'd assume it's people that thought Klopp rated him due to the new deal. It was just people on Twitter.
I think Klopp did/does rate him to some extent, but not enough to turn down 8mil for a guy who started about 4 league games in 3 years. Even in this market that's insane.
He's not a terrible player though by any means. Will probably do alright for you.
Liverpool making 8m from a Spurs reject is seriously good business
It's probably the right move for his career, but can he deliver, that's the thing? He has a pricetag to live up to now.
Ah add ons...See above. I was quite annoyed when it seemed we were basically swapping Robertson for Stewart, but it doesn't seem to be the case.
Oh shit hahaha. That would be ****ing incredible. This board would self-combust.Hard to tell. Theres a lot of gossip about a CB but nothing concrete and every now and then someone comes out saying the club are happy with what we've got.
