Kike Marin (El Confidencial), usually fairly reliable for Barcelona news from memory, just had this to say:

IMG_6983.jpg

Coutinho has met with Klopp and has told him that if the #Liverpool don't want to sell him to the #FCBarcelona is so happy at Anfield. LFC

If you want success in trophies then Monaco, Dortmund, Atletico, Ajax, Lyon and even Barcelona under Pep are good examples that the Spurs way is the right way.
Ajax and Holland is a different kettle of fish there's hardly any money in Dutch football in comparison to the big 5 leagues. So too is Lyon and France the last time they won because the money hadn't hit their league yet.

Not sure if this is a hello or goodbye, or neither. Supposed to have been close to either Arsenal or Dortmund in the last couple of days but who knows.

Has been no news on the Arsenal end about Sancho so don't think it's us.
Sounding like Lichsteiner is off to Nice and we are looking to offer €17m and Mario Lemina to Valencia for Joao Cancelo
From the very little I've seen of Lemina he looked hugely talented, what's his deal?

Gab Marcotti, one of the most reliable journos around, says that Neymar's release clause is close to being met by PSG.

Would be huge if this move eventuates.

How can a release clause be close to being met?

It's common knowledge that PSG are happy to pay his release clause. Apparently there's huge FFP prolems for them to do so and the rumour is they are trying to offload ADM / Matuidi to accommodate him. On top of that despite 40m / season being on the table Neymar himself supposedly isn't sure either way.

They are only going to get around 20m for Matuidi.

What I meant it though, you either pay the release clause or you don't. They know what it is.

Hector confirmed. Just going off his twitter handle and bio sounds like a quality character haha.
Don't judge people by their Twitter mate

Seems we are about to bolster our midfield. Mikel Merino apparently done and to be announced shortly (loan with 'obligation' to buy is the rumour). Portuguese press also saying we are having positive talks with Benfica for Andreas Samaris (15m rumoured fee).

I think one of the betting agencies said we were favourites to sign Batshuyai on loan too - haven't really seen much in the toon press recently mentioning it but would be over the moon if true. Might give us a fighting chance of staying up haha. Interesting to see who he's following on twitter too.

Really doubt we will let him go anywhere. Has had good form so far in preseason and will play a ton more this season behind Morata.

We've enquired about Kenedy on loan, think that's a bit ambitious, wasn't he with Watford last season?
Yeah but barely played cos of injury.

Would do well in the Championship I think but we may want to keep him as a backup LB.

Looks like Barca need to pay £134m if they want Coutinho.
Football's going mad. Nowhere near the calibre for a world record fee let alone world record by some margin.

It's a price tag that they won't pay. They might as well have said Coutinho is not for sale.
