Roma are signing Mahrez
No they aren't. Shakey has said they're still 15m short and we're not selling him for less than 50m.

Talks of him having a medical this week are also false.

Correct me but didn't Wenger say that about RVP...

To the person that mentioned it earlier. That right there is why we're not in for him.
50m for a guy that only has a place in the starting XI if we play 4231 otherwise rides the pine rules us out.

Nah. We've already said he's not for sale. If anything it makes it less likely as a big part of the move is to play with his bestie Neymar who would no longer be there.
Ah yep, once clubs say that it's case closed.

Why are you trying to sign vvd? Soton said he's not for sale.

The difference in this case is that Coutinho and/or anyone in his camp is saying that he is completely happy at LFC. And in 2 of those cases plans were made to replace Torres / Sterling (Suarez / Mane) with better players.

Soton aren't saying he's not for sale. Their issue all along has been the lack of a bidding war.

You signed Suarez before Torres was sold didnt you? And you didnt buy Mane for a year after Sterling.

Andy Carroll and Benteke doesnt read as well I guess.

Suarez was the Torres replacement. Carroll was a last minute panic buy because the club was suddenly 50m pounds richer. Mane was the Sterling replacement, although you could argue Firmino was. Benteke was a Balotelli replacement if anything.

Southampton have very much said he isn't for sale. They also didn't report Liverpool for shits and giggles.

All I've heard on here over the years from Liverpool supporters is that Suarez was bought to supplement Torres, not replace him. In fact right up to the day he was sold Liverpool supporters on BF were insisting he was going nowhere.

I'll give you Firmino instead of Benteke, but Mane was a year after Sterling. It had nothing to do with him.

Southampton gave permission for Van Dijk to speak with potential new clubs earlier in the year. They reported LFC because the transfer was leaked before a fee was agreed. Which is fair enough when negotiations are ongoing.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says his side can win the Premier League after a "bit of bad luck last season".

Bad luck kinda stretches it really, our squad was/is still thin and it's not like Mane just decided on New Year's Day he was going to AFCON.

In before bad luck is like a "slip"

navas has resigned for sevilla, fernando off to gala for about 5 mil, kelechi to have a medical today with leicester for 25 mil.
Kelechi becomes our record sale I believe.

Sad to see him go but I think he needed a lot more football than we would have been able to give him.

Buyback clause included I believe.

Maffeo and Garcia have both been confirmed on loan to Girona for the season. Believe Douglas Luiz and Marlos Moreno will be there as well but not confirmed. Big Phil Caicedo has either signed or is rumoured to sign for them too from wherever he's currently playing.

Genuinely interested in La Liga for the first time in ages.

The difference between Coutinho and Van Dijk at present is that only 1 of those players has asked for a move and is refusing to train/play until that wish is granted. Personally I won't be in the slightest bit concerned about Coutinho going anywhere until he follows suit.

I've said this before, but the double standards definitely flow both ways on this one. Consensus in here was that Liverpool should give up on Keita and Van Dijk because both Leipzig and Southampton have definitively said those players are not for sale.

Liverpool say exactly the same thing regarding Coutinho and the consensus seems to be the opposite, that there's nothing Liverpool can do and the supporters should accept he's going to Barça.

So which is it? It seems many supporters on both sides of the fence have contradictory interpretations of these scenarios depending on where their allegiances lie. Funny that.

He will definitely eventually go. Just not this summer. No chance.

I'd say he's more likely to move than not if Neymar is sold. Suspect VVD will move as well and wouldnt rule out Keita.

I used to say theres only two clubs in the world immune to a players head being turned. One of those looks to be losing a star this summer.

Liverpool isnt the other one.

Even if Neymar moves, it's highly unlikely we sell Coutinho. He signed a contract til 2022 and has no release clause. He also isnt the type of guy to throw the toys out of the pram. If we do eventually sell him, it wont be this summer. Far too late in the window to be trying to replace our best player. Just wont happen.

Keita transfer is well and truly dead. VVD may still happen.
