Disagree - and less than 12 months ago he and Hazard were odds on early season favourites to win the PFA POTY Award!

Maybe I have years wrong but it was when he was out injured and we were playing well.

I just think its easier and cheaper to replace his position than others due to the amount of talent out there.

Who is there to replace him? I think the club needs at least 12 months to sound out a replacement. Better off selling Coutinho after another storming EPL season and a top class performance for Brazil at Russia 2018.

If we are offered that I reckon we would take it. Juve are usually quite good in the market and are still after another 3-4 players so whilst it would hurt to lose him I'm sure we can cover him

Simon Grayson certainly doesn't mind the bargain basement signings. Also got Ross The Boss on loan from AVFC so I doubt we'll do much this season to be honest.

Not trolling either RVP singlehandedly carried one of the worst Arsenal teams ever to 4th whilst Sanchez couldn't get a decent Arsenal side to 5th despite your team player for player being better than Liverpool's.

Newcastle finished 5th that year, the league was far less competitive then. We finished this season with 5 more points than our last season with RVP when he supposedly carried us (and we finished 3rd btw), as well as scoring more goals and conceding less. We also won the FA cup this season while getting knocked out early on that year.

Just like the transfer windows/fees, that year and this year are incomparable.

Siggurdson is on the verge of a £45m move from Swansea to Everton. If you truly understood and accepted that the market has changed, you'd see why Sanchez is worth a shitload more than £25m even in the last year of his contract.

Comparing prices now to prices in 2011 is comparing apples with oranges.
