Why is he delusional? He is actually correct.

It's not just a transfer fee, PSG are buying one of the top 5 most marketable football players in the world and one of the most marketable sportsman in the world. They would have crunched the numbers, at some point the transfer will pay for itself.

PSG is the most talked about sporting team in the world right now and they haven't even completed the deal. It's printing money.

He also said the fee is expensive in the fact that we now will get more players going for 60m and more when they aren't worth that, because Neymar commercially being worth it.

You're delusional like mou.

Every player has a price imo. And every player has it within their power to force a sale if thats what they want.

For Hazard it would probably take him pushing things on a bit. We've already seen he is capable of downing tools if he isnt totally happy with things.

As for Alexis, if it was me I'd take the money and run. Thats on the proviso that there is no chance of him signing a new contract.

£50m or whatever it'll be is just too much to pass up for a 29 year old bloke who'll leave for nothing in 12 months.

Bigger issue for Arsenal is why the find themselves in this position with star players beung allowed to run down contracts so often?

A few things could happen:

1) They stay in La Liga even though they're a part of another country. Also gives a few people north of Tyneside even more reasons as to why their clubs should be in England.

2) They form a new league in Catalonia with Espanyol, Girona and whoever else.

3) They play in France (IMO this is the least likely but it has been floated by Aulas and a few others). More likely to see Basque Country clubs move over to France if they get independence.

Would love to see them in Ligue 1 and see the return to camp nou for neymar. If FCB joined the french league it would instantly overtake the Spanish

No offence mate but you're so completely flustered by all this you wouldn't have a clue. I never said it would make them money, I said at some point the transfer would pay for itself, in 5 years time I don't think PSG are going to care that they ended up only paying wages. They could make 50m a year commercially from Neymar (very feasible).

Expect to see Neymars face on your toothbrush.

No offence mate but you have rocks in your head if you think PSG will break even from a transfer that will cost them $475m over 5 years. Any commercial money from Neymar will be tied up with his father in any case.

This transfer is all a show of power by the Qataris who are engaged in a huge political shitfight with their Arab neighbours. It's not about making money at all, money isn't even a consideration.

Again, never said they would break even. I am only talking about the transfer fee, not wages.

France would love to have them but UEFA wouldn't allow it for a multitude of reasons (and fair enough too Barca playing in France means Bayern have an excuse to play in Italy if they want to).

What? Seriously, what?

PSG have always wanted a big name/top 3 player. It's been well documented by literally everyone in France that they've always been after Messi, CR7 or Neymar.

If Coutinho is unavailable I wonder who Barcelona will target? They're gonna want a big name coming back their way with Neymar leaving.

Mbappe?
Soldado :D

Yeah I don't think its paying for itself in this case.

I understand marketability more than most on here, the amount of money here is the GDP of a small state, revenue is big for football clubs, but it's not at that level.

According to sources close to the club they are hopeful of Sanchez and Ozil both signing new deals before the end of the year. Delusional maybe, but that's what they seem to think. Ozil will sign a new deal IMO, something remarkable will have to happen for Alexis to though.

60m from a team elsewhere in Europe would prob get Sanchez. In terms of City/Chelsea I think that the club think if they refuse all offers this window then they will be devoid of blame when he walks to City on a bosman in 12 months. I imagine the fans will think otherwise.

Mbappe?
Good chance of that but he wouldnt come cheap. Dybala. Same story really. Wonder if they'd come after Aguero or a left field one Costa.

Can't see them not going after a big statement signing.

Aguero would only go to Real and in what universe is Diego Costa a Barcelona player?
Why would Aguero only go to Real?

Diego Costa is a twat, but he's a quality footballer and would come relatively cheap. It's a left field one but as a short term solution I reckon it's a decent one.

Their current squad is very light on home grown players, only 2-3 senior players by my count. Will need to add a few or rely on U21s.
That was definitely what I was hinting at. Delph 2.0
Loaned out a few HG's just to need to buy some. Seems redundant to me if all they are is depth, might as well just keep some of the youth and give them a good crack at it.

If they want HG players to sit on the bench we have a few spare that we will let go at a reasonable price :D
