Have to feel for poor Eriksen in all of this. Rejected after trialling at La Masia as a kid, issues a come and get me plea for a 'dream' move to Barça a month or so ago, and not even a hint of interest.

Yep, absolutely nothing in the Eriksen comments and definitely isn't pining for a move this summer. He spoke honestly about his ambitions and even spoke like he knows he could be a Spurs player for the next 2-3 years.

It's as good a comment as you could hope from a young star player that could become one of the world's best. If in 2-3 years time we have established ourselves as a PL title contender (and win one) in the new stadium he may stick around longer than that, if not he moves on after 6+ seasons of service for a good fee

FWIW, I don't see any of our players getting Barca interest any time soon

I reckon somewhere in the Barca scouting system thinks we play a differing style to theirs, hence why Modric/Bale and co never were linked to them. To a lesser extent it could be an agent thing too though.

RM, PSG, Juve and the Manchester clubs are the ones likely to target our big guns one day.
