Reading a few of the Rose quotes, can't imagine Spurs will be too happy.

It's pretty much a transfer request without submitting a transfer request.

Bound to happen with any of their older players. The young guys are happy to buy into "the project" but the ones that are in their late 20s or early 30s want to win something before they retire. A large wage increase could always negate that need though.

I think over the next couple of windows the likes of Vertonghen, Alderweireld and Dembele might also look for a move if the trophies don't come this season.

Alderweireld is already heading in that direction from the sounds.

Don't think Vertonghen will leave. His next move will probably be back to Ajax in a couple of years. He's always said he wanted to finish his career there. And I'm not sure there would be that much interest anyway. He's not talked about as much as Alderweireld and he's already 30.

Same goes for Dembele. 30 and injury prone. Don't think his next move will be to a mega club chasing trophies.

Definitely Alderweireld though, unless we win something and significantly increase his wages. I can't see it happening though, I think he'll be sold for mega money this time next year so he doesn't enter the last year of his contract, forcing us to trigger the club option and the 25m release clause.

If Barca offered that for Coutinho a month ago you reckon Liverpool would accept it. It's a hell of a fee to turn down. Good on them though.
Why?

Taking a ton of money is never gonna get us a better player than Coutinho.

Who can we realistically turn to and buy who is gonna be equal or better than Coutinho?

We dont need the money so it all comes down to wanting to keep the best players we have at the club.

The 100 million would do nothing for us. We were just recently throwing 80 million at RB Liepzig for Keita. Money isnt an issue.

Levy's lack of transfer business probably.
Between those comments and now we've reached our record points haul and highest PL league placing. And we've done that on the back of now signings.

Our left back should focus on defending/attacking that side of the pitch and let people who know what they're doing handle that side of things. They're the ones who helped him improve to what he is now and help us go from a 5-7th team to a 2nd-3rd team the last few years.

Lol ok. Just explaining that players can get frustrated when your bench is as bare as yours is now.

Remember him getting pissed before the Newcastle 5-1 with his Sunderland mates and we had play Davies who got shredded that day.
Anyone other than Poch's pet and he'd have been gone for that. Mauricio has been good to him, don't know what's more annoying. That he said or that he said it to The S*n or that it was 3 days from the season. Probably all 3. Thankfully Levy would never sell him to the Blue scum, I'd just bench him than sell him. Let's see how happy he is when Bertrand is the starter in Russia.
