There is no way known he could have possibly envisaged that he'd end up being sold for more.
Probably just happy to remove his sorry arse, I think he was in the group of bad apples too so getting him out was paramount.

€120m buyout clause in his Barca contract. Full comedy.

We'd sell Bale before we'd sell him.
as you should.

sounds like william carvalho is off to west ham. for about the same price that sporting's president said would get his left foot when linked with us. hope west ham screen the post.

it's no wonder la masia's best kids are heading to other clubs. and while the likes of sergi samper probably arent barcelona quality anymore, we all know that paulinho certainly isnt. samper rejected arsenal like 3 times to make it at barca and they've constantly ignored him and instead spent 60 mil combined on paulinho and alex song.

Samper is shit tho but i understand your point. They don't develop players.much anymore and overpay for vanilla mids. I lmao'd so hard when they bought that fraud Andre Gomes. This Paulinho deal is something else tho!
thought the same of sergi roberto really. you just never know sometimes.

javi king of the sidepass garcia has moved back to spain with real betis. time for him to reclaim his throne as a top 5 % passer in the world.

sergi roberto was v avg when he started playing for Barca but he has developed well over the last couple of seasons.

Dunno how true it is, but I read something that suggested there's a bit more to the Paulinho bid than meets the eye. Something to do with Bartomeu's construction company competing for a contract on one of those artificial islands near China, and Guangzhou specifically, that is owned by the Evergrande group.

Then again, it might just be one of those silly social media rumours, but it would certainly go a long way to explaining a transfer as baffling as this one.
