Ballague, who usually favours Spanish sides in these sorts of sagas (was adamant de gea would happen) is saying Barcelona haven't been able to even discuss a transfer at all with FSG. It looks like Coutinho goes nowhere this window.
To be fair if it wasn't for a dodgy fax machine he'd have been right that time, and no one could possibly foresee that a simple fax machine would scupper a deal.

When Russian women marry and take their husbands name it's usually the female form of the surname

I get that. This woman's name is actually Irina Slutskaya from Birth. She's a former Russian figure skater, so she's easy to look up and find information about her. :p

As I said, people are undervaluing fsgs statement on cout.
They aren't the type of owners to go back on their stance.

Cout is going nowhere, even though I reckon klopp probs would rather sell now.

How much money should I chuck on him staying? Paying $2.30.

You seem to be miserable about every aspect of supporting Everton lol.
No. I'm miserable by the fact that they claim to want to go forward and make Champions League but they make additions that are not going to get us there except for Keane and Pickford.

Doesn't look like Wenger will sell us Ox plus Barkley is out for six weeks with a hammy.
Can't see Wenger or the Arsenal board giving up close to £100m in transfer fees for Ox and Alexis just for an extra season out of both.

They'll know by now if either is a chance of extending their contract. If not they'll be sold imo.

Sanchez yes because he can get them CL qualification off his own bat.

AOC is a good player who is versatile. Would you hang on to him for the sake of £30m? Doubtful.

Didnt last season.

£100m worth of signings can go a long way towards improving league position as well.

It's not as if Sigurdsson scored more and created more chances than Coutinho last season after all.

FSG have priors. They did say Suarez aint getting sold that summer. And they stood firm and didnt do it. He stayed for another year. I think it will play out the same way with Coutinho.

Wenger knows how toxic it will be from Arsenal fans if Alexis is sold to City.
I do think thats the only way he stays. But it's nothing to do with sporting or financial common sense. More about PR and self preservation.

Coutinho still depends on how far he is prepared to push things along.

I reckon he will try to avoid a shitstorm, but if it's the only way to get the move he'll start playing up.

Promising a transfer after the season will only work if Barca are prepared to wait imo.

Not when they strengthen a rival. Arsenal would have sold Sanchez to PSG if he was prepared to go there.

It's not going to make a difference. FSG are not prepared to discuss a sale at any price.

He scored free kick goals and 8 of his 13 assists came via set pieces. He doesn't have a target man to hit at Everton.
