Do you think we won't strengthen regardless? Last time we missed out on Alexis we bought Aguero instead, that didnt work out too badly.

Maybe even wait and sign Alexis on a free next season. We've got an extra £50m to improve our squad and Arsenal have £50m less.

Or you try and force a deal, Sanchez stays, signs a new deal with Arsenal because the money is too good to refuse and you end up playing Bony instead. Could go either way.

It wasnt so much of a comparison of the two. More just shows that football clubs say things for a reason. And it's best not to take everything they say at face value.

Do you believe Liverpool would sell if they got a £500m offer? Or that he genuinely is not for sale at any price.

Ballague has said that Barca have been told absolutely no offers will be considered for Coutinho in this window.

We'll know soon enough.

I'm not fussed if we get Alexis or not.

I think Pep wants him and by all accounts Alexis is only interested in a move to City.

But if that changes we'll move on and get someone else.

If Arsenal believe they can get Alexis to sign a new contract then I'd imagine they'll do everything they can to make that happen. But that is all about strengthening them, not weakening us.

Why sign someone when you have Bony on the payroll?

Because we want to win things and the manager believes Bony isnt the best chance of doing that.

He'll be off the payroll soon anyway.

Didn't realise he wouldn't be able to score FKs when he's at Everton. Are the goals you guys play with a lot smaller? Are your CBs really short?
Hilarious. The fact is we have dead ball specialists already at the club.

Genuinely don't think you do. Are you talking about Barkley? Baines? Sigurdsson shits all over both.

Reckon this is about right. Villa fans said this to us when we bought him, and it wasnt until he played for us that we appreciated just how good he was. We said the same to Everton when he left, and I don't think too many of them were keen.

Missed no more than 5 games in a season for the last 15 seasons to. On the way out, but a good pro to have at a club.
Much like Milner.

Yeah, although I was never a huge fan when he was with us. Hated him on the right wing, hated him in the centre of midfield. Had a good stretch playing mainly on the left wing where I came around a bit.

Good solid player to have around the squad.

Utility players are definitely handy

Although I was a bit worried by Klopp's comments that Milner was like a new midfield signing after Moreno's good form in pre season !!

Moreno at LB and Milner at CM is a win win scenario.

For everyone else. ;)

After signing Jese Rodriguez, Stoke City Football Club now have the most Champions League winners in their squad in the Premier League.

I love him. Does a job. You just know youre gonna get a minimum 7 out of 10 every time he takes the field. Hugely reliable. Can play a lot of positions and tucks pens in for fun.

Baines would be one of the best in the league for set pieces over the past decade. Him and Gylfi will be a big threat.

Baines is certainly closer to the end than the start though....
