What did you think of Robertson mate out of interest? You were his biggest detractor from memory.

I was super impressed with him in an attacking sense. He has great delivery from wide left. He wasnt tested defensively yet as Palace didnt do much attacking.

Coutinho's doing this all wrong. If he really wants to leave he's going to have to be professional, put his boots on, get back on the pitch and bite someone.

Yeah will be interesting in the "big" games, but I'm confident he can step up.

I wasnt impressed the first time i saw him in preseason. He was beaten very easily defensively a couple of times in what was our only poor result in preseason.

But it was his mock debut if you will so nerves could have played a part. Need to see more of his defensive side of his game.

Offensively i think he's our best LB simply because of his delivery. Moreno us more pacey and direct. Milner just cuts inside all day. But Robertson is a true LB who will whip in a good ball. It's refreshing.

The problem is that you don't really have the forward players to take advantage of good delivery.

Could use a Benteke type in there, really.

Haha nah. That's the point of Robertsons good delivery. It's not aimless into the box type stuff. Yeah we have smaller players like Salah, Firm and Mane etc but when you get the delivery right it brings chances.

It's not about wafting one into the box for Benteke to go attack. It's about genuinely picking out your teammates head.

Not saying Robertson is gonna do that but he put in some great delivery in last nights game. Its also about putting balls into space where the pace of Mane and Salah are around the back.

Besides we still have Origi and Solanke as bigger units.
