I wonder if any clubs outside of England would bid 60+mil. If nobody does, 70mil might be a good offer to take if you are Arsenal.

Class players like him shouldn't be leaving for free. At least they'd get compensated despite only a year left on his deal.

For mine Arsenal should talk to Sanchez now about re-signing, and if he doesn't, take the offer on deadline day.
Arsenal do not need the money. Alexis is worth in PR than whatnthwy wouls get from City.

I think the problem is that Sanchez is pricing himself out of a move elsewhere. PSG and Bayern have both tried but it's come to nothing.

There were a few rumours of Arsenal offering him a new deal a week or so ago. £300k a week, which if true it looks like he's said no to.

FWIW I think Arsenal will sell.

What they need to do is stop letting their stars get in the last year of a contract. Really makes it hard for them not to sell.

Or they get bent over into paying extortionate wages to entice them to stay.

The obvious move for Sanchez is to replace Neymar at Barca but for some reason they don't want to go back to him.

We would take 70mil (Arsene Wenger said something along those lines earlier in the week), would obviously prefer to sell him outside of England but no one is willing to pay that much besides City.

I still think he plays out this season and walks to City in 12 months, they are his preferred destination so doesn't make sense to offer that much when they could be fairly certain of picking him up for free next year.
Maybe if we bought Belotti. But I doubt we are doing that or interested in selling Michy.
Lot of talk today that Conte wants Vardy

Chelsea won't get Vardy. We'll put a ridiculous price tag on his head.
If they offer 30-40 surely you take it, he's not getting younger.

Agreed. After Mbappe, Monaco doesn't have a lot of decent options (especially with Germain leaving) to replace Falcao if he gets injured/suspended which would derail their season. The other talent they have should be good enough to replace what they lost eventually though.

When I said Monaco could win the EPL I also did say that it'd be with the team they had last season and when I said it they had just knocked 2 English clubs out of the UCL. I'm failing to see what's laughable about that all things considered.
Was just asking if you thought Monaco would win the PL this season if they were in it. Don't know why you're bringing up last season.

Its because he doesn't wanna go back there. He was treated badly after outshining Messi in his last year. Barca need younger options to rebuild as their list is totalled. They can't afford a player in his prime like Sanchez because he's asking too much and they're giving Messi all their money.

Watzke openly baiting Barca. Has set a price for Barca to meet by next week and they are baulking at it.

It's not often Barca gets completely and utterly bitched by clubs when it comes to transfers. Bless. We should all enjoy this while it lasts.

"You have until Sunday night to accept our £80m+ add ons offer or we're ending all our interest!"

*ignores*

"Damn they're good, fine £101m up front plus £37m add ons, final offer!"

Kinda embarrassing.

I'd be accepting that in a heart beat, don't want an unhappy player. £101m is £35m more than I'd be offering for Cout
