Would be funny if Barca got Keita to spite Liverpool.

Hold strong Liverpool.

A Barca fan on twitter wanted to get Keita just so they could offer Keita + cash for Coutinho.

Would be handy if Barca helped us out with that since we had no luck getting Keita.

Problem is Wenger has backed himself into a PR corner by saying Sanchez won't be sold. If he is now, and lets say Arsenal start the season with two losses (realistically we should lose to Liverpool this weekend) then its going to get really dark for him with the supporters, he's barely holding on to the fans as it is now.

What he needs to do is be honest, if he wants to sell Sanchez then tell city 1) X is the price 2) it will only happen if we secure a replacement 3) NOTHING is to be said publically until we've signed the players we need.

I'm probably one of the more pragmatic supporters, I don't think Sanchez should be allowed to leave on a free PROVIDING the price is right and I think £50m - £70m for a player that will leave is good enough. I don't think Sanchez is irreplaceable.

  • arsenal youngster marcus mcguane is a wanted man. man city/united/juventus and napoli are all trying to get the england under 18's captain

Bit odd considering he signed pro terms only last year (a 1 year contract?) Is going to be a very good player by all reports.

Arsenal, for the first time in a long time, have some quality "yoof" coming through

Yeah I think that's probably why it's permanent. Seems to have had a few good spells in the Championship but wasn't great at rangers.

Bossed it at Birmingham last season, think you'll be getting a bargain. Great dribbler and can certainly score a decent goal!.

Hopefully we can negotiate some kind of sell on fee.

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...-impossible-news-hoffenheim-a7906221.html?amp

"Philippe Coutinho is ready to hold clear-the-air talks with Liverpool as he looks to return to the fold with Jurgen Klopp's side."

"The Independent understands that the player and his representatives are ready to admit defeat and will look to talk to key Liverpool figures to smooth over the summer's events. People within the 25-year-old midfielder's entourage are pointing the finger at Barcelona for manipulating their client and have suggested the Nou Camp club used family members to provide additional pressure. They insist the ill-conceived email was Barca's idea."

This is quite funny.
What a disaster. Amateur hour.

Apparently Jadon Sancho is signing for Spurs today.
Haha I just came in here to post that.

Apparently a City 'itk' posted it on Bluemoon?

I read on a Spurs forum last week that we might have got him out of the reaches of Arsenal and it could be confirmed this week, but not a specific day.

Not too bothered about him leaving. A shame but shit happens and we've got players in in similar circumstances.

Not fussed either about him going AWOL. Unprofessional and a bit stupid but it's his career.

If he talks bollocks about opportunity he can **** right off. Not many 17 years have got the same promises of senior game time as him, Brahim and Foden.

And if he did hang around theres every chance he'd be in first team reckoning already.

There's talk from people who apparently know these things on a Spurs forum I sometimes read that he's been told he'll go into our first team squad if he signs. And a major part of him going AWOL was because he wanted to move to London, right, and you wouldn't sell him? Apparently we tried to include him in the Walker deal and you said no.

so barca spend heaps of time on coutinho, who liverpool have made clear isnt for sale. they've also tried for dembele and the same thing has happened. then they turn to seri, who would be an exceptional fit for their team at a third of the cost, but as they're about to close it and get it done, they... bid for coutinho again? and after messing around with seri and forcing him out of their cl game against napoli, they're now absolutely pissed at barca and won't sell seri.

it really, really shouldn't be this difficult, surely?

Haha apparently the Gazzaniga transfer, medical and everything, was finished a few weeks ago but for PR purposes we didn't want him to be the first signing we announced of the window.

It might be that he's homesick, although he was talking just a few months ago how the move to Manchester away from bad influences in London has been really good for him.

He will probably be in and around Spurs first team squad, as he would have been in ours had he stayed.

From what I understand he wouldnt sign a contract so we didnt take him on the American tour. He spat the dummy, went back south, stopped training and didnt answer calls. I'd imagine he had a deal lined up back then.

As for selling him, he's on a scholarship so free to leave subject to a tribunal fee.

I'd imagine we wouldnt have considered a sale until it was clear there wasnt going to be a resolution.
