Being disappointed in the owners conduct and having faith in the players we have are two separate things. Do I want VvD at the club? Yes. Am I going to demand the club be torn down and start again because we missed out? No. I for one am excited to see Gomez progress, Woodburn progress, Grujic progress. This will never happen if we keep buying on top of them...They may fail, or they may become world beaters. Time will tell.

They are two separate things, and people do have faith in the players, I believe this squad would fight strongly for at least top 4.

The thing people are concerned about is the way FSG has yet again botched transfer businesses with some questionable practices. They already got us banned in youth transfers with dodgy negotiations. They've been here for 8 odd years and dickish negotiations have been a common theme. VVD would be here if they didn't outsmart themselves and botched it. In a way I don't blame Jurgen for not chasing alternative targets, it isn't his fault VVD isn't here, why should he compromise?

It's a very American thing to act a dick in all circumstance if it helps them get a better deal, it'd be nice if we can just negotiate transfers like a normal football club

Just saw that Lorenzo Insinge has gotten good old Mino Raiola as his new agent.

Getting in early to say good signing for the club he goes to next summer.

First signs of a Prem vs bundasliga/la liga/SerieA shit fight. That would be carnage. Well it would be if there was more than four posters on here following those diddy leagues

Want to explain why those countries are more successful in Europe and in International football if they're diddy leagues then?

That has nothing to do with it. We are talking about popularity, and the prem shits on those leagues in that respect. Pretty sure EPL clubs will start winning in Europe again soon (in fact Utd just did I believe). The two spainish giants, PSG and perhaps Bayern and the leading Italian club will always be obstacles though.

I would wager that the fact that PL teams would be far more worried about each other and midtable clubs stealing ever vital points from them that could hinder their title/top 4 ambitions then would for Juve/Bayern/Real/Barca (and I suppose you can throw Atleti into that). Including PSG, when was the last time any of them seriously had to worry about losing their CL place?

Freakin' West Brom would ruin your day. Genoa is not as much as trouble (and I really like Genoa) to Juve. West Ham can just bring in Little Pea just like that. I can't see Atlanta doing the same.

More money in England has made things tighter.

Because we're talking leagues not individual teams.

And pretty sure the tide is swinging back towards England in Europe anyway.
