It's never sat well with me that he considers himself bigger than the game here. He's been great at the international level but not much more than a nuisance on the domestic scene in Australia.

Plenty of players haven't wanted to come back, and even Cahill became a target of abuse. Same thing happened to kewell and aloisi. No wonder schwarzer never did.

Well he hardly helped with that. Making all sorts of demands for what it would take to get him to play here. The FFA bending over for him just further proves what an awful organisation they were.

He wasn't happy with the way the FFA was running the development side of things so demanded if he was to come back he wanted to do something about it. It's called using your bargaining power and he was using it for the good to try and lower costs of junior football which is exhorbotent

Can you imagine Christian Eriksen moving to England, provided the FA changed the way they did certain things? David Silva only moving back to Spain if the Spanish FA changed things etc.

I've got no problem with Tim raising those points as things to look to improve but they should never have been used as a bargaining chip to get him back over here. Just continues the love affair Tim has with himself. The FFA should have told him to buzz off. Instead, the incompetent shit show that they are, buckled completely.

If there were huge issues with their footballing system, absolutely I could see it. Do you reckon if the FA tried to appoint, say, Beckham as manager and he demanded X, Y and Z changes to the youth set up, infrastructure, etc. that would be inappropriate?

Ake is a center back for a start, he didnt want to fight for spot(like Christensen is) and asked to be sold so he was. No point holding him for ransom.

Mou didnt rate Bertie, not much we could do about that. He'd be handy though, Baba seems to be going through the same thing with Conte. No point holding players coaches don't want.

the difference is that the federation here has shown they have absolutely no clue.

if one guy is going to act like a prat, but you end up with something that can help contribute to the game, is it that bad?
