There's nothing really wrong with the boards approach, we simply cannot rely on Roman's money forever and therefore a more sustainable transfer strategy has been adopted.

Don't forget that we have won two of the last three titles, just broke our transfer record, have a new stadium on the way and are sitting joint second in the league. So yes we could be attracting better, more expensive quality but the big dicks at the top are more than justified to implement a more sensible financial plan to keep us successful for longer.
You are kidding me
You are happy to sign players such as Zappacosta, Drinkwater, Barkley, Batshuayi

I refuse to call this a rant but wtf is wrong with Chelsea approach, ambition and board
We have gone from big spenders to penny pinching merchant bankers
I mean the amount of mediocrity we have signed in the last two seasons is ******* ridiculous
How dare we sign Barkley even if he is cheap. How dare we even enquire into Andy Carroll
These players are fit for the bench and reserves at cheslea ffs man
Zappacosta, Drinkwater, Moses, Pedro, Batshuayi they are all squad players ffs man
The board ****** mourinho over and has screwed Conte over
Contest targets Morata, Kante have been sublime for us, the boards targets Batshuayi and Zappa have been less exciting. A complete overhaul is needed formation wise and squad wise
Five quality signings are needed with one being depth and quality backup striker
Hazard cannot carry this team on his own
Bakayoko needs to screen the defence not play box to box
Fabregas needs players to start making runs ffs
And hazard needs to pull his finger out
He needs support
And if we keep signing trash our only elite players in Christensen, Hazard, Kante, Azpilicueta and Morata will go walkabouts and then who's to blame Roman, Marina
Major Overhall, signings at RF, ST, LB, CM and CB
You’re literally the reigning champions

Conte has been pretty clear that we are rebuilding our side with younger players. Costa for Morata , Luiz for Christensen, Matic for Bakayoko, Fab will be next with Barkley and in the summer guys like Willian, Pedro, Cahill etc will be turned over too. We are taking a one step back for hopefully two forward type approach. It will take a bit of time. We arent the big spenders of the league anymore and wont be able to keep up with the Manchester clubs like that, we need to take a different route to compete.

Im more worried about the crappy ultra defensive style we are playing, especially at home. We can do much better than that Antonio.

Zappacosta has been okay and I haven't written him off yet, Drinkwater has been pretty good and should be playing more, Barkley we'll have to wait and see and Batman obviously hasn't worked out. We can't be going bonkers in the market like city any more but I have faith that we will continue to sign quality players and hopefully embrace our academy prospects a lot more.

35mil for Sanchez sounds good to me. Much better value than Lemar for 90mil.

You could also argue that it's better value than Mahrez (although he's 2-3 years younger) for 49mil.

Agree re:Lemar not so with Mahrez

Mahrez 5 good seasons at 150-200k a week vs. Sanchez 3 good seasons at 300k
