As the striker.

Mane Sanchez Salah.
Lallana Keita Wijnaldum

Bloody shit position for Woolwich. No leverage and seemingly the only clubs in for him are sides above them.
Double whack. Get weaker and strengthen a rival.
Alexis will be retired before we are competitive again.

Anyone rate this Malcolm bloke? Based on my expert youtube highlight reel knowledge he looks like more of an Iwobi upgrade than anything at this stage.

So Martial, Rashford, Miki & Mata only to be backups?

Pretty scary depth
Would imagine that Martial would start instead of Jesse on the left. Rash comes off the bench for Martial and Jesse for Alexis.

Miki likely to be gone in the summer and Mata is a rotational player these days.

I dont think we will get Alexis and not convinced we are after him. If we do get him I think we would be on a par with City in the final third.

I wonder if Ox and Sanchez get on well?

If LFC are in, I suspect it would be seen by the club as 'back-up' for any injuries to the Fab Free. They are obviously doing well. Mane is out of form, but really only compared to Salah. Firmino is really, really good. We love him. JK loves him. Dentists love him.

Sanchez doesn't seem like a Klopp player, due to his workrate, but how much of that is dissatisfaction with the Gunners and Arsene? Obviously Pep still wants him, despite him not being used enough at Barca for Sanchez' own liking. Jurgo loves competition for places and loves to improve players. That may appeal to Alexis. With Sturridge leaving, we lack a ready replacement should there be a major injury. Lallana and Chamberlain are the options, and then it's young players and strikers.

Hopefully he puts stock in the fact we tried to buy him when he went to Arsenal. Obviously he made the wrong choice there.

Of course the alternate thinking is that going in for Sanchez, and looking into getting Keita early, is all about signalling to Monaco that we won't pay overs for Lemar.

If that's how Klopp views things then you're definitely not after him. He isn't a back up player.

That's why I would be surprised if he did choose LFC. Presumably he's gone cold on City on the basis of not getting guarantees about playing time. Or maybe he felt the money was a bit 'back up player' compared to their elites. I haven't read much about his plans, but at 29 he'll want a payday and playing time you would think. Klopp definitely wouldn't give him any guarantees. He didn't to AOC, who is obviously a tier down, but was vocal about wanting to play more and wanting to play in the centre.

The Guardian says Arsenal reckon he's going to Man U.

What are you on about. Alexis has an excellent work rate. One of his problems this season is him dropping deep to get the ball too much.

He partly chose Arsenal over Liverpool because he did not want to live in Liverpool.

Sanchez will want very good coin, a starting position and silverware.

Seems a bit like the 'cheap, quick, and good quality' conundrum. As the PL stands, Sanchez can only really have two of those things.

I was going to write workrate as 'workrate', because I don't see it myself. But mates who are Arsenal fans say they are frustrated with him and others are saying he isn't putting in.

Welcome Andy Carroll I guess:'(
He isn't that bad. The ridicule was all about the price (which of course was all about how much Roman wanted Nando) and he appears happy to sit on the bench and come on late to bang in headers like that other ex-Red, Petey Crouchy.

He's already been winning trophies at Arsenal. Utd have been way off the pace in the league since he has been in England. City / Chelsea are the only moves that make sense for him PL wise.

Funnily enough he could get all 3 of those things you mention at Real Madrid.

He probably wants to win a PL title, City is still my bet as to where he goes, and Chelsea makes sense too but not sure they’re after him.

I’d be stoked to have him, but don’t think he comes to us. Real Madrid actually would be a great option.

Not sure how he made the wrong choice. At least he has a few trophies now.

Still dont think an ex barca player will play at madrid imo.

That being said if United get Sanchez it could turn us from a team that could only reach the last 8 of the cl to CL contenders.
