I trust we’ll sign someone.

It’s levy time.
It’s only somewhat bad if we don’t but I think we will.

I’m still confident we can attain top 4 with this squad.
Still have a sturdy defence and the best striker in England. One CM of quality would be enough for us to ensure improvement.

We’ll sign two players this week imo. We don’t really need an attacking player unless it’s going to be someone who’s better than Son/Lamela or Lucas Moura (who is a bit of an unknown at this moment). Not worth signing another player at that level as those three are already vying for one place as you’d expect Eriksen and Dele to be first choices. If Martial became available then that would be a worthwhile upgrade, not sure whether Zaha would be though.

We need a centre midfielder desperately. Dembele, Wanyama, Dier, Winks and Sissoko are our options and we can upgrade there quite easily.

If Toby goes to United which is now likely then I’d exoect us to bring in another central defender.

Looks like we are sticking with Lorente.

Don’t need any full backs.

We can finish top four again but won’t challenge City and Liverpool look to have moved ahead of us now

Rondon has had a medical with us and is expected to be confirmed shortly. Gayle discussing personal terms with WBA and is expected to head the other way on loan plus 2m.

Reports Rafa has been given the green light to sign 3 players before the window shuts. LB cover (young French LB Stanley N'Soki from PSG and Joe Bryan from Bristol Rovers seem to be the 2 we're most linked to wanting) and a CB definitely the priorities.

Some talk we are into Ings as well but would given we have signed Muto and potentially Rondon, I reckon we'll use our limited funds to strengthen elsewhere.

Grealish is being targeted for HG purposes but Villa’s new owner has held that up. Not worth the 40m they’re after.
An attacker who can play up top would be nice but that depends on Utd allowing Martial to leave which still is dubious.

I’m calm. Took the kids to America and topped the table while not losing. Identified one quality youngster who’ll hopefully feature in years to come.
