Who is he? (Serious)
Player who was my avatar before this. One of the most prolific wingers in the championship the last two seasons.

Scored 22 (same as Che Adams) last season but didn't play up top.

Cracking signing for Spurs is Ndombele. I reckon they should put a contract on the table for Eriksen that he cant refuse. Any replacement signed for Eriksen is not going to be as good as him for the price that he would command. Better to hang on to your best players if it is possible.
I think we've tried. It was reported yesterday, I think, that he reiterated his desire to leave after talks with the club about a new contract. A few reports too have come out in recent days that Zidane has been convinced by the board that he's the right man.

I guess that's one way to try and justify his price

Interesting given we’ve done the same thing.

Spurs revenue in 2007: 107.2MM
23 year old Darren Bent's then-club record fee in Summer 2007: 16.5MM (~15% of revenue)

Spurs revenue in 2013: 178.2MM
21 year old Erik Lamela's then-club record fee in Summer 2013: 30MM (~16% of revenue)

Spurs revenue in 2017: 279.7MM
21 year old Davinson Sanchez's then-club record fee in Summer 2017: 42MM (~15% of revenue)

Spurs revenue in 2019: 428.3MM

15% of 428.3MM?

64.2MM

Only becomes 64m if all bonuses are met

Yeah, I agree. It feels like we're finally acting like a 'big 'club,' whatever that means.

I know it's stating the obvious, but without being on the inside, it's impossible to know the budget. Ceballos has been mooted as a loan with an option to buy. If there isn't much left in the budget after Ndombele, then that would be a good deal because I would assume if we do buy it would come out of next year's budget.

I suspect we'll complete a deal for Sessegnon and maybe a loan for Ceballos, and then deals after that will depend on outgoings. If Eriksen gets a decent fee, then we need a replacement, and I suspect we'll only go in for a RB after we sell Trippier and/or Aurier.
reckon Lo Celso replaces Eriksen. though i wouldnt be opposed to keeping him and signing Lo Celso.
Ceballos is fraught with danger. If he comes good, Real will get interested and he'll want to go. I'd rather not get guys from clubs they are eager to go back to.

Surprised we arent into Pepe, given he can play wide or upfront.
Handy given the state of Kane's ankle.

Is Ceballos a back up option to Lo Celso?

Can't see us grabbing both, imo it's one or the other

Who's Pepe and what club he plays for?

That other flog called Pepe is like 36 and is a thug of a centre back

From what I understand they play slightly different positions. I don't want to get all pretentious football know-it-all like, but I think Lo Celso is more of an 8 in a 4-3-3 who can also play as a 10 or an inside forward type in the attacking three in a 4-2-3-1, where as Ceballos, I think, plays more like a Harry Winks, but is a little bit more versatile going forward.

If we do sell Eriksen I could maybe see us going for both (although I don't think Lo Celso will happen unless we sell Eriksen), with Lo Celso being the main Eriksen replacement, and Ceballos being on loan with an option. That would give us a good group of versatile midfielders with a set up resembling something like this:

Winks/Ceballos/Dier
Ndombele/Sissoko - Lo Celso/Ceballos/Dele
Son/Lucas - Kane - Dele/Lo Celso
That would be a pretty bloody decent and versatile group for the midfield and attack. Add a Sessegnon to that forward group as a young rotation option and I think our window would be a huge success, signing a right-back notwithstanding.

Didn’t Ceballos played as a 10 for Spain U21s?
