Hard not to get excited about that Dybala link, but I'm skeptical because of the sources. The two that have reported it, Ally Gold at football.london and Dan Kipatrick at the Standard, are the two that get fed all the club propaganda. They're usually the first to quash a link when it hits the press, for example. Perhaps it's a move from Spurs to get Betis to lower their demands for Lo Celso?
No disrespect to Spurs but Dybala would have to want to come. No chance he would make the step down. He wins tons of trophies at Juve and if he were to move it would be to another huge club vying for trophies.

So Spurs are not vying for trophies? Ooooookay

Kinda I guess. But Juve guarantees at least Serie A every year. Then the domestic cup and the CL. When did Spurs last win a trophy? How many trophies have Juve won since Spurs won their last one.

No disrespect at all, Spurs have certainly moved up the pecking order in the last 10 years or so. But they are not top level. I just can't see Dybala taking the step down. I think the rumour is rubbish. But hey if he signs... What a great signing for Spurs!

Some players might want a challenge and become a real club legend. There’s a multiple of clubs you can go to that guarantee you trophies every season, and winning one doesn’t really represent much and the fans won’t take you to their heart the same way. Then you’ve got clubs like spurs and Liverpool where winning one really means something - and all players want to be part of that. Spurs reaching the CL final, building one of the best stadiums in Europe and having Poch and some top talent at the club is what is going to attract top talent.

So now we’re in talks with Barca for Malcolm according to Goal.

42m€ to sit behind Hazard, Reus and Sancho. It well and truly is silly season

I wonder how Malcolm would have went at Roma if Barca didn’t hijack his pending transfer last year. He’s already being offered to PSG.

Reaching the final was great, building a new stadium is great and having a good manager is also great but it doesnt mean you can suddenly attract top talent. Liverpool is a vastly more successful club and a much bigger club on the worldwide stage and we still cant even bring in those top level stars. We need to shop from the level below. Find those blokes who are about to become world class. The likes of Mane, Salah, VVD etc etc

Like I dont even think we could get Dybala. So I just dont think Spurs would have much of a chance to get him. Just my opinion though. If you land Dybala, amazing for you guys.

I’m not really in agreement with much of your post. For starters Dybala, as good as he is, is in my opinion not out of reach for any of the top six in the PL. he’s not top, top end talent like a Messi or Neymar (who are out of reach for a club like spurs). Secondly, you only have to look at Man City and PSG to see that top players don’t necessarily go to clubs with the most illustrious histories as you suggest. Yes obviously money played the decisive motivation for players moving to those clubs but who’s to say we can’t put a package together that is attractive to Dybala?

There’s far more factors at play than you are willing to consider.

You've also won **** all in the last 20 years... so really, you're as bad as each other. Liverpool has struggled to attract top talent and really has got bargains on guys who aren't yet top talent rather than going after a Neymar type character. So much wrong with this post it's not funny.

Villa to do a Fulham anyone? Remember when people were going "wow" over Fulham and their spending?
Well they're definitely way more likely to do that than win the thing or even make Europe.

Think their signing strategy is more sustainable than Fulham's though, and unlike Fulham they're not leaving it to the last minute.

I literally said as much. We cant attract top end talent even with how big the club is and our history. So I dont like Spurs' chances of getting Dybala. So you're basically agreeing with me. Cool.

Also I dont know if...

2 x FA Cup
3 x League Cup
2 x UEFA Super Cup
1 x UEFA Cup/Europe League
2 x European Cup/Champions League

Constitutes as **** all. But all good.

5 trophies of how many?

Also I misread it as can, not can't. Maybe use an apostrophe.

I think there is a gap in the top six. Arsenal, United, City and Chelsea can attract top talent and have done so in the past. Arsenal surprisingly manage to bring in blokes like Sanchez, Ozil and Aubameyang. Chelsea, United and City have always bought from the top shelf. Arsenal owe much to being the top dog in a major city and drawcard, London.

Then there is Liverpool and Spurs. Neither attract the big names. Spurs recent ascension has come through youth prospects like Kane coming through and shrew purchases like Alder, Eriksen, Alli and of course employing a top class manager. Liverpool operate in much the same way.

Spurs are well known for not paying massive wages and breaking their structure so I dont think they could or would offer Dybala huge money.

It's funny how your first sentence makes no sense, then you attack my grammar in your second sentence hahah
How does it not make sense? You have won 5 trophies of how many available - it's pretty obvious.
