Would be silly to give a kid any sort of guarantees on game time.

As long as he can earn a spot on merit that should be good enough for him.

Meh, I'm happy for him to be told he'll be given a fair shot. Another kid benefiting from the transfer ban shit sandwich.

He did earn that right after his amazing season last season at Wigan and on merit he will be our back up RB;)

Meh, we aren’t short of money so who cares, we needed a solid quality defender and we’ve got one now. Welcome aboard Maguire.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure Maguire is going to win you more points next season than a spare 85mil.

It's alright, an inept manager will still see you finish outside the top 4.

Even at £85-90m Maguire won't have a huge impact on Uniteds bottom line.

Less than £20m in amortisation each year for the next 4 or 5. Wages will probably be covered by people leaving.

For a club earning €500-600m a year FFP isn't really a problem.

I can’t even begin to understand the logic here lol.

Pretty easy to understand isn't it? Maguire is your best CB now, and the 80m it cost to get him wouldn't have made your other CBs any better.

Tierny keeps dragging on but everyone is saying it will get done.

Arse might be waiting for him to recover and play first team football again. Osteitis Pubis can be a bitch to shake off. Maybe it will happen next transfer window. I still wonder if he is over-estimated. Would he get a game if Bellerin and Monreal are fit?

So it’s true. Maguire will win United points next season than not making the signing and having a spare £85M.

Yeah, it’ll be Lindelof who has been solid. After that Bailly is out for months and then it really gets putrid, Jones and Smalling will get game time.
Slabby, Lindy, Jones, Bailly, Smalling and Rojo is a lot of CB depth if all are fit after the Jan window.

I think Rojo will do a job for us when he does play. Losing Bailly for as long as he is out will hurt depth with Rojo not being the healthiest footballer in the world. Need for Maguire and Lindelof to stay on the park.

I would turf Smalling and Jones out of the club quick smart. How they’ve both survived at United so long is actually remarkable. 9 and 8 years in the first team respectively. WTF?

Yes.. that is what he said. :p

He will be easily the best United centre back. But the rest are a bit meh. Who will play alongside him?

Lindelof is an excellent CB. Our defence has gone from shaky to excellent in one window.

Good luck getting rid of Phil Jones though.
