A week or so before the window opens. Klopp has been cryptic and has suggested we might dip into the market. Cant see it myself though as everything is going so swimmingly right now, why change anything.

Klopp's very demanding style could see injuries become a problem towards the end of the season, so I can see why he might want extra bodies.

Yeah can’t see us buying anyone. At worst some cheap Caulker/Klavan type CB to fill a short void.

new left back please. as good as mendy can be, it doesnt mean much when he's not on the field. we got lucky with delph and zinchenko last season because we were so good, now with a dip in form, tired players and some injuries we're very quickly badly exposed.

Sounds like Luiz rejected our one year deal(all we offer for over 30s) and will move on at the end of the season and Fab may buyout the rest of his contract(6 months) and move in January.

No. The caliber of club he’d be after I don’t see as in desperate need for a centre half.

The PSG, Barca, Madrid, Bayern’s of this world. Can’t say any are in real need for him, and would a 30yo go to a poor Utd side that’s 2-3 seasons away from contending? Doubt it.

It’s why I don’t think Pochettino joins them. He’d have to completely gut 3/4 fullbacks. Half their CB’s, then midfield, then get a quality CF. He builds the defence first and its a mess. All at an impatient club that won’t afford him as much time to build that squad.

Juventus' Daniele Rugani has been linked to us, but that seems less likely as time goes on - apparently he's about to sign a new deal.

Fantastic way to end the year, I had massive worries Man City were going to put in a bid for him in the upcoming window as a long term Fernandinho replacement.

We've got Christensen and Ampadu waiting in the wings and Zouma to return so even if we didnt buy we're fine. Its not an area of concern like the other end of the team is.

But i think we will. Skrinar has been linked and he'd be my number 1 target. Hes a gun. Then theres Ake who has a buyback apparently, is left footed(what we need), looks made for Sarris system and knows the club well. He'd only return as long as hes a starter though. Either of those two would be great.
