Minamino's release clause is apparently 7.25mil.

Reading from a few sources, the general feeling is that Sancho is reluctant to go to City based on Pep not giving him a chance, and him wanting to prove that it was a mistake. You don't think City will make a play?
We have the best project to sell him right now which is good. Working under Klopp too I reckon I a huge advantage for us.
No idea if he wants to come to us though.

Seems it’s done. £7m would be an outstanding bit of business. Peanuts. One of the most impressive attackers we’ve faced this season, caused us big problems in both legs. Can play anywhere in the front 4. Mini Firmino.
Oh yeah for playing opportunities he'd be much better off at Chelsea and United. But depends how much he rates himself. Does he think he can come in and displace Mane or Salah? Big ask for sure.I think you have the worst TBH, out of us, United and you guys. Sancho is a RW and you have ths best RW in the league.
Sure you have the best team for him to be part of the squad but walk up starter...nah.
Yeah seems the Minamino deal is done. Great bit of business if the 7.5 million fee is true!
Does this mean Sancho is a no go?
Firmino, Mane, Salah with back up across the front three in Origi, Brewster, Shaq, Minamino, Ox...
Would be overkill to bring in another attacker.
Yeah we risk losing Brewster though. I read rumours he was gonna leave last summer cos he lacked opportunities. Heard it was a direct chat with Klopp which convinced him to stay and he was promised opportunities to which he's basically got none this season.Ox isnt a front 3 player really. Talk Brewster will be loaned, if Minamino comes in that makes sense.
no. he burnt a lot of bridges on the way out.You don't think City will make a play?

Fair enough. That's good for us.no. he burnt a lot of bridges on the way out.

that doesnt mean you disappear from the club. giving game time assurances to 17 year olds is insane. He also wanted assurances he'd get game time something Pep couldnt guarantee.
Makes you wonder if Phil Foden should have done the same thing seeing simular guys like Maddison and Mount go past him in the English set up.

mount is 18 months older than foden and maddison is 4 years older.
Familiar story. Obviously the players have some say but I do wonder how much of it is driven by the agents, the idea that you have to go down this path to get the move you want.

Was Sancho a special case though given his obvious talent. Maybe you should have guaranteed him playing time.that doesnt mean you disappear from the club. giving game time assurances to 17 year olds is insane.

silva is leaving at the end of the season. i think he gets it because there arent that many star midfielders anyways.Did Dortmund give Sancho assurances he'd get a fair chance to win a spot?
Mount and Madidison at the same age were playing regularly and developing, I guess the hope for Phil is if he stays/hangs around long enough he'll get David Silvas spot. Do you think that'll honestly happen or you'll splash out big on a ready made star?

Some kids just want to play now and not bide their time on the bench. We've lost a few over the years too.
There is also the old if you're good enough you're old enough. Just using my club as an example cos I know it best. Owen, Fowler, Carragher, Gerrard, Sterling, TAA all were playing regularly by the time they were 18 for the club. Some even at 17...Kids should be playing though. It's how they learn the game. If you look at the world's best players at the moment, most if not all would've been playing somewhere at 18, be it at Genk, Lille, Santos, Monaco, Groningen, Ajax...
Musonda for example, I'm convinced he'd have turned out much better if he had stayed in Belgium (like KDB, Kompany, Tielemans...) and proven himself there for a season or 2 before moving to a bigger club or league, rather than being this prodigy in Chelsea's academy.
