Yep. It's bizarre.

It took until partway through last season for most of our supporters to get excited about Bowen because the concept of finding a gem playing in your u21s is such a foreign concept.

Hmm nah. Pulisic is being signed to replace Pedro/Willian on the right wing. CHO is predominantly a left wing and his future is obviously tied to what happens with Hazard imo. Sadly hes behind the best in the world and if he stays he'll need to leave.

In saying that CHO would have played the last few and next few games if he was fit. Sarri saying he needs to just improve his work off the ball and he'll be fine. So some brakes need to be pumped a bit.

If we do **** this up I'll be raging though.

I love it. You could see the contrast in the summer.

Jose takes young kids on preseason tour, then moans about not having enough players.
Simultaneously killing the confidence in the young players in the youth setup, and the experienced players in his squad. Both seen as not good enough
Our manager signs no one in the summer and the next day states how confident he is in the squad. States in December that we may need a CM but if we don't get one he'll just play young Skipp and won't care if he makes mistakes.

Love having a manager that backs youth. Now to sell Trippier so he can back his young right back.

Maybe not and yes they are on different sides but this part for me is extremely accurate for many many clubs.
"But therein lies the problem. Signing an expensive young player is viewed as lower-risk than playing a young player you inherited. Which suggests something got broken along the way."

100%

it all comes down to trust. i wish we would trust guys like sancho instead of signing mahrez. that's not a reflection on mahrez either, he's a very good player but nothing matches the intrigue and wonder of having an academy kid given a chance. club attitudes need to change though for it to happen.

on one hand you want to appease the match day goers and the locals with the academy talent. but the club also wants to spend the big money on marquee players to get the marketing/bandwagon fans onboard.

No doubt its something we've had an issue with. CHO would be getting some good advice from RLC i hope.

But in saying that Hazard probably holds CHOs Chelsea destiny in his hands.

Do I actually need to spell out to you why that narrative is outdated?

Which of our players are Bayern going to buy?

What's up your arse mate? Calm down.

Never thought engaging in discussion made people so pissy.

Sancho, perhaps.

Dortmund fans don't like the subject. It's like asking a Soton fan which player Liverpool will buy next.

The answer you'd get from them is "p*** off"

Sancho is contracted till 2023. Why would he leave? Why would we sell?

You weren’t engaging in discussion. You were looking for a reaction in reply to an old and overdone joke

Step away and calm down.

I dont see whats wrong with what Cruyffy posted. Bayern generally cannibalise their league every time a team challenges them or goes past them.
Come on chef, it's a sensitive topic. Dortmund supporters don't like talking about it.

Old joke is old

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Ze German sense of humour at play I guess. I don’t think they banter much, quite a serious bunch. Not that Cruyffy was even bantering he was just asking a simple question!
