Trippier has been charged for betting on his own transfer to atletico madrid lol
🤦‍♂️

Sturridge effectively did the same thing didn't he? What suspension did he end up getting?

Its a shame because Trippier had actually been really good in his time at Atleti, and if he faces any lengthy period of time out there's a fair chance he loses his spot in the squad

WILLIAN has hinted at a move to Tottenham as the Chelsea ace says he has "no problem" joining a rival club and is "big friends" with Jose Mourinho.

The Brazilian star has revealed he is in regular contact with pal Mourinho, who coached him for two years at Stamford Bridge.

Same articles fed to the media at the same time every year, like clockwork. I’m sure we’ll be tightening our belt in response to COVID and looking anxiously at the horizon, but no more than any other club.

Yeah all clubs will be watching their spending. Werner to Liverpool seems like one that will get done though.

Realistically who can actually afford him

PSG, Madrid and maybe Juve?

His wages would be enormous too. But he'd be worth every cent.
He’d be the missing piece in Sarri’s midfield

Going to be a common theme.

And at least this is fair play. If clubs expected people to believe they couldn't afford to pay staff, and are demonstrating it by not being able to splash cash in the market, then that is fair enough. The suggestion from some that fees of 25m+ would still be common was the issue.

Depending who the player is. Will Jadon Sancho he sold for £30M. Will Neymar if he is sold?

I would think they just wouldn't be sold.

If they are, I think £70-100M will still happen because there will still be clubs that can afford it. For the top tier, I cam see fees coming down (£100-150M will hopefully be a thing of the past) but will still be pretty high.

It’s the fees for everyone else that I can see coming down, £40M was the fee for Sigurdsson and I can see that being £15M if it happened this year for example.

If clubs can afford it I have no issues, so long as they haven't cried poor. United for instance have always said (I believe) that they would continue to pay staff, so no issues with them spending whatever they want.

Likely sales of Harry Wilson, Marko Grujic and Lovren will cover most of that. We have a 30% sell on clause for Luis Alberto who Lazio look like selling this summer if they cannot get him to sign a new deal. Most Liverpool ITK sources believe this will get done, has a low release clause also which helps things along.
