If that Newcastle take over does go ahead than they should be aiming higher than Rafa as a manager. Like a Wenger or a Mourinho his days of being an elite level manager are behind him.

The fans love him though.

They would, but it's a bad fit for the project they will be under taking.
It's like when Mark Hughes was in charge of City when they had their take over and they had to replace him with Mancini.

Absolutely - you always want to hold onto your best players. With Götze leaving, that will free up 10€m/season, would be more than happy to reinvest a big portion of that into his salary and make him the highest player at the club, see if we can snag a few more years out of him whilst united aren't in Champions League. I seriously think if we can keep the core of him, Haaland, Guerreiro, Brandt, Can and Hummels together for a couple more years, we can go pretty deep, especially with Reyna coming through, and hopefully a good new RB and LB (for when Hakimi leaves and Piszczek retires)

Love Can dropping some truths here...

I miss Emre already

you need your sparky's to appreciate your pep's

Pretty sure I could have appreciated Pep without having to sit through two years of sparky thank you very much.

Girouds a pretty handy backup striker, knows his place and a good teamman. Would have been a good Kane back up.

The others are all trash.
Fair point you make chef.
My rebuttal is simple.

The first is too similar to Sulzeer and thus barf.
The second is a reminder that even after a couple of years in West London it'd be hard to wash the stench of minnow off him.

That's one spoiler I wish I never pressed...

Will he be happy with a furloughed wage?

We get another 17m from Barca thanks to you guys not signing Coutinho. Should cover his wages for most of his contract.
