Sounds like Piguain is done. I think he will struggle but at least it’s just a six month loan.

How do managers have so much time to watch these players? It’s impressive
all the scouts and analysts would have all his match footage and be able to make different videos on strengths/weaknesses and whatnot.

I would think there's a hierarchy system in place. Scouts in various countries would be watching a lot of players. From those are weeded out the no hopers, and then sorted into areas of the pitch and how much potential they give those players.

The players seen as having the most potential would then have packages cut together and sent to someone in Pep's main staff who would assess what the key needs for the squad are, or the sorts of players they would put top priority in signing, and assessing the footage themselves. The top group of those might then get passed to Pep and he would watch maybe a handful of players' footage.

I can't remember what it even feels like to be genuinely linked to anyone tbh.

We seriously only have one fit senior midfielder atm in Harry Winks (which isn't too bad considering how good he's been) and a 33 year old lumbering Llorente as our only genuine forward for the next 6 weeks, and yet Pochettino's going on about not changing our transfer strategy and looking at the youth, and there's been no real links to anyone.

There's a chance we'll have a 16 year old striker on the bench this week and an 18 year old Skipp starting in midfield.

I mean, on one hand it's actually commendable, but on the other it's ****ing batshit crazy.

Yeah there would have to be a very good filtering process before it hits any manager. Pep strikes me as a bit of a nutter though so it wouldn’t surprise me if he did raw scouting himself. Just has this look in his eye that gives the impression that his mind is always in overdrive. Rarely looks relaxed. I don’t reckon he would sleep much.

he rarely slept when he was at barcelona. would just watch game footage for hours and hours on end. then show it to the players.

He got it from Cruyff, he was mad like that too. Van Gaal as well I think.

Seems like im the only one excited about Goalzalo joining us.

His link up play is great, he knows Sarris system, Sarri wants him and is being backed in the market(6 months too late though), allows Hazard to go back where hes better, its a loan so not costing much more than wages, hes not fat and slow and it means no more Morata. Oh yeah.

Watched him for Milan? Should have bought Cutrone instead. Piguain doesnt run.

Yeah i did watch him a bit, wasnt really suited to Gattusos style i dont think and it was kind of a forced deal and i doubt he wanted to be their either. Not a good fit all round.

I guess we've both got fat strikers now.
