We've got Christensen and Ampadu waiting in the wings and Zouma to return so even if we didnt buy we're fine. Its not an area of concern like the other end of the team is.

But i think we will. Skrinar has been linked and he'd be my number 1 target. Hes a gun. Then theres Ake who has a buyback apparently, is left footed(what we need), looks made for Sarris system and knows the club well. He'd only return as long as hes a starter though. Either of those two would be great.

Forgot that Zouma was on loan, I reckon bring him back in the summer and buy 1 CB.

I think Sancho's agent has confirmed he has buyback and sell on clauses.

I'm not overly enthused about Pulisic and like chef would prefer Thorgan.

Pulisic has talent but he's never been prolific and he's been much less impressive in the Bundesliga this season than Thorgan has been.

Plus Thorgan coming might actually persuade Eden to stay.

It’s why I don’t think Pochettino joins them. He’d have to completely gut 3/4 fullbacks. Half their CB’s, then midfield, then get a quality CF. He builds the defence first and its a mess. All at an impatient club that won’t afford him as much time to build that squad.

I don't think the task is anywhere near that big in terms of rebuilding the defence TBH. Lindelof (who is actually looking really good at the moment), Bailly and one of Jones/Smalling are worth persisting with, we'd just need to sign a player like Toby and a starting quality right back. I also am fairly optimistic about Lukaku shedding weight and rediscovering form under a new manager. You're right in saying the midfield situation is a mess though.

I think it would be, hypothetically of course, for him. I can’t see him keeping anyone but Shaw, and maybe Dalot. Young and Valencia would be out the door before the ink had dried. Don’t think either English centre half is good enough, Smalling maybe for the squad

Apparently Chelsea want 23mil for him. What would it take for Bayern to get him (a figure that you would accept), or is it a simple case of not for sale?
