Chel$ki have had a lot of failures with transfers torres, shevchenko, drinkwater, falcao, jorghino, pulisic not shipping willian off to barca for serious money etc. Just goes to show it is pretty difficult to get them right more often then not.

They had Cabaye on the books for awhile also. I guess that despite having unlimited money some players just don't want to play in Ligue 1 no matter what the financial rewards are.

They are now looking like buying Gueye instead of Allan though which is a big drop off. Apparently they can't afford Allan under FFP, that may be the reason for it.

You make it sound like Gueye is dross. He’s a pretty good DM tbf and far from why Everton are mid table at best. Formed a good partnership with Gomes.
