Yeah fear of flying would go down as an irrational fear, but it’s probably something most people fear to some degree at the back of their minds.

I generally don’t fear flying, but all this talk...

Not quite the same, but of similar theme, there is a slight irrational fear of driving in the US, even though I’ve driven a car for 20 years. I drove around fine last time I was there, but I’ve upped my car time this time, driving across several states.

I found it a breeze last time I was there. Got used to it in about half an hour of driving on the right. Only thing that caught me out was getting beeped on the turn right at red lights after stopping - I would just sit there waiting for a green or until someone beeped me.

Have you got a VPN organised to watch EPL while you are over there ?

Context is a wonderful thing. If you asked the same question 6 weeks ago, would you have got the same answer from Utd supporters?

Of course the answer is no, you wouldn’t have got any answer, because they weren’t here.

Nice big roads, plenty of room, slow speed limit nothing to fear! You driven in the UK before? Even though never driven in the states I’d assume it’s more daunting - tight twisting lanes and packed roads. Basically roads built that didn’t account for the increase in 21st century traffic.

You’ll be fine with the flying. Remember what Zidane said earlier.

Yeah last time, I was good after 30 mins, but it was just the little things...left lane is the fast lane, right turns etc. the one time I actually got caught out though was in the shopping centre car park, where your inbuilt tendencies say stay left...

Oh, and so many cars with no indicator light, just the flashing brake light

And all trucks seem to have massive spikes on their wheels...

Reno to Vegas is the only long drive time - 7hrs+

Enjoyed driving over in the US, want to do more on my next trip over there. The “relaxed” speed limits are great, drive to conditions & flow of traffic and cops don’t give a flying **** if you’re passing them.

Driven Calgary to Bannf (and back), Toronto to Chicago & both ways LA to Vegas as the main longer trips. Want to avoid driving in the cities as much as possible, but didn’t find it too bad other than very heavy traffic in parts.

Sucked the gps I had for the 10hr trip was a piece of shit that dropped out too much so had to detour through the cornfields if Ohio for a little bit...but no other disasters other than running a couple of hours later than expected lol. As for the roads in & out of O’Hare dropping the car off - never again!!

Hopefully Pigs gets done soon so we can play him against Spurs

Decided on a whim one day to go to the Jay and Silent Bob’s Secret Stash comic book store in NJ. I was staying in Brooklyn at the time. Wish I’d organised a car then. GPS was incorrect and I got off the bus around 5km away from the store on a 32oC day. Then there was the 1.5km walk from the ferry launch to the bus stop and back...

I’ve done the drive from Vegas to LA before. This time I’m going up from San Fran through Sausalito, Sacramento, Reno, Vegas, Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, Lake Havasu, Slab City, San Diego and finally ending up in LA. Will definitely do enough driving. o_O

Hopefully he doesn’t stop off at Maccas on the way to the Bridge. Will miss the deadline.

Desperate for a player neither Juve or Milan wants? Halcyon days at the Bridge obviously.

Yeah, nah.

London is RHD, the same as Aus, no different to driving in Sydney or Melbournes CBD which gets as much if not more traffic. The UK is a piece of cake, even London.

Try doing the 12 lane roundabout on the Arc de Triumph in peak hour and come back to me.

Or driving in Crete or Greece. They treat single lanes as two and you often just sit half way on the wrong side of the road doing about 150kph most of the time, it’s funny how everyone adapts and it just works.

I feel like once you naturally do roundabouts in a LHD and learn to naturally give way to the left, instead of right, you will automatically do everything else ok

I’ve spent probably 12 weeks driving Europe in a few different trips the last 2 years and found the easiest way to learn is to pick the car up in the middle of a major city. I’ve driven in hectic cities like Rome, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Prague, Munich and if the only way to get out is to drive, you pick it up quickly.

I’ve also driven in Beijing, Shanghai and Tokyo, they are next level again...

Sitting on cruise control doing 170kph on an autobahn is pretty fun, especially when you can get cross country in a couple of hours.

Hanger Lane gyratory and the magic roundabout in hemel is pretty tough during peak hour. apart from that, driving in london is fine, just a little frustrating.

Driving outside of London is great, bugger all cameras. Unless you are on the M25, you are pretty much safe.

Yeah driving on the continent is definitely worse than the U.K. I wasn’t saying the U.K. has treacherous roads or is dangerous, just that in the US everything is straight and wide unlike the U.K. Yeah but the likes of Greece etc its different levels out there

You sound just like Typeclub when Morata signed for you. That one worked out well :D
I’m having a laff. I’ve said on here I reckon Pigs will flop. I’m just happy Eden will be taken out of the striker position.
