im surprised De Ligt isn't keen on Liverpool

Team are reigning CL champs. Top 2 in England.
Plays alongside VVD, TAA and Robertson.
Great crowds. One of the top recognised clubs in the world.

He'd be a great fit.
If we sell Lovren then we'd deffs need another CB.

De Ligt & Pepe would set you guys up for a while. Not bad investments for the money given the talent and time on the side of both players.

They'd be my #1 and #2 targets for Spurs (with Ndombele, Lo Celso and Sessegnon close behind)
------------Son Kane Dele------------
Sessegnon Ndombele Lo Celso Pepe
----------Vert De Ligt Sanchez-------
----------------Lloris------------------
Bench of Winks, Rose, KWP, Dier (ergh), Lucas, Gazza and sissoko

If we get Clark from Leeds, i'd drop Dier.
Second he came on in the CL final, you knew he was going to gift Liverpool the sealer.

Good 250-300m in transfers there though. very unspursy :)

Problem is you can’t just go out and spend big money on beefing a squad out with great players, as they’re all competing for game time. That’s what creates squad unrest. Hardest thing to balance for big clubs, and usually if you’re going to create depth it needs to be with to line youth

Even though we've made back to back CL league finals and are the current reigning European Champions, we are still not a destination or glamour club. De Ligt can go anywhere and when a young footballer is wanted by every club they inevitably end up at either Real or Barca.

I'm predicting a backup keeper to replace Mignolet and a big money striker signing to replace Sturridge.

I'd like to upgrade Lallana too but I don't think that will happen.
A big money striker to sit on the bench?

I read somewhere Sessengnon will be turning down a contract extension at Fulham to join Inter for free next summer.

Err... Yeah. Obviously.
I don't think as much as you seem to think. One is asking the question because he seems about to, the other is announcing the fact. Not sure how that's so funny but meh.

If Liverpool are serious about winning the league they need to improve their depth and competition for spots. Got to have two good players for each position like City do.

Need to keep spending.

saw that one too.
Odd given he seemed keen to come to Spurs, and we offer just as much (if not more).

He'd likely start as our LWB in place of Rose.

I would love to see him replace Hummels at Bayern

Hernandez Sule De Ligt Kimmich is some backline.

Inter would very enticing atm, Conte managing and Juve going through a complete rejig of how they play so they are a huge chance of winning stuff too.

We played 53 games in all comps last season, Salah played 52 of them and Firmino played 50. We’ve been lucky with their durability the last 2 seasons but it’s not sustainable for our chances of success to hinge on those 2 and Mané playing 99% of our games. We need another option of that quality to rotate through, not sit on the bench.

By comparison, City played 61 games last season, and had 6 attackers playing >40 games.

MCFC: Aguero, Jesus, Sterling, Sane, Silva, Mahrez

LFC: Firmino, Salah, Mane, Origi, Shaqiri

Who'd want to live in Liverpool though?

ive been to the UK about 5 times in my life. Travelled a good amount of the country too.
Never once been anywhere near Liverpool :p
It's ok... I've been twice to watch Everton but there isn't a lot to it. Haven't really been outside the actual centre besides Goodison.

someone told me getting stabbed by a 14yo is high on most tourist lists.....it was enough to know to avoid

Closest ive been is York or Lakes District.

Liverpool is no longer the mess it was back in the 20th century. Besides, players wouldn’t actually live in the city anyway. I’ve seen Stevie G’s old house, beautiful road that led down to Formby beach. Players can afford the very best properties in any region, and all regions have pockets of very desirable postcodes

That's the thing. Players don't go there and live in shit areas etc. They obviously live in the most affluent, beautiful part of the city, cos they all rich haha

Still... Liverpool isn't and has never been a destination club.
