Hope that’s the first of a few this summer. Big show of intent if it is indeed true. I’d be lying if I said I knew anything about him, but surely £60m+ doesn’t buy you a dud

Was going to jokingly mention Di Maria and Morata, the latter went for 58m though.

My presumption is he'll be the long term replacement for Moussa Dembele in the center of midfield who you never really replaced when he left.

And good god I need to read the last post in this thread before replying....

inflation of the market / grow a sense of humour

I'm more than happy to have a laugh at United signings but at least try and be accurate.

Apparently 52mil is like 1.7bil in Ukrainian hryvnia.
$50AUD is nearly 500,000 Indonesian Rupiah.

There’s my useless fact of the day

Just got to hope he doesn't turn out to be Bakayoko 2.0

Going to be a sad day when he finishes up.

We've lost a club legend every season for a while now. Zaba, Yaya, Kompany, Silva. Aguero and Dinho not far off.

Bakayoko was unreal for Monaco and deserved his transfer price, He was poor for Chelsea but got back to his dominant self for Milan this season I'm gutted we have decided not to take up the option to buy him.

Bakayoko still has a lot to give IMO under the right manager in the right system.

Why didn’t you buy him?

He is the exact type of player United should be targeting to partner Pogba.
The year is 2025 and the pursuit for the perfect partner for Pogba continues. (Side note: Say "Perfect partner for Pogba" 5 times quickly)

Fair to say it's been a mixed bag for players from Ligue 1 coming over to the EPL over the past few seasons.

Been a few hits, but more misses, most players who fail seem to struggle with the pace and intensity more than anything.
