The year is 2025 and the pursuit for the perfect partner for Pogba continues. (Side note: Say "Perfect partner for Pogba" 5 times quickly)

The perfect partner for Pogba reminds me of Chelsea looking for the perfect partner for Hazard on the RW. Think we spent seven years and £200m looking and probably tried about 10 different players there but never found one. We may have one in Pulisic but it’s all too late now.

Our club is so poorly run. Amazes me how we have been so successful.

We certainly like to make things difficult for ourselves, but at least it keeps things interesting for the supporters. There’s never a dull moment.

Don’t think we’ll be seeing anymore silverware any time soon though.

Happy with a relatively cheap get of Gomes, cheap considering recent spending activity in the league.

That is what you believe... maybe the agent was doing that so he gets more of said transfer fee?

Looks like Wan Bissaka is done for 50m (45m, 5m add ons), United keep the 25% sell on for Zaha.

probably as good as is available, needs to work on his offensive game to be more in line with the modern fullback. but plenty of time for that to be developed. certainly a step up from valencia/young.

Worth the money just to keep Young out. Fee is large but it's also the old English tax. If he continues to improve it'll be a good deal. Reckon keeping the Zaha sell on is worth another 10-15m for us so can't really complain overall.

Gomes made it clear he just wanted to sign for Everton so we just went out and signed Fornals instead really.

Interesting times at Arsenal. Keep hearing about this 45-50m + sales budget.
Emery getting screwed over there. 45m would barely get a Ramsey replacement.

Not to mention needing cover for the injured Bellerin.
Needing to replace Welbeck.
Selling Xhaka or Mustafi is possibly going to require a greater outlay to improve on them.

That budget really is only ok if you have little to fix. Not sure how you plug them all.

We've lost a club legend every season for a while now. Zaba, Yaya, Kompany, Silva. Aguero and Dinho not far off.

You’d think they need a holding period and hope/achieve high finishes and become a destination club again.
