Yeah, weird as that they get compensation.
players moving overseas has always incurred lower fees. same the other way. it's cheaper for barca to recruit from west brom than it is valencia.

even still, brom would get a relatively paltry fee for his potential in he has moved to another prem club. wouldnt be more than 5 mil, which is nothing to a lot of clubs. needs a large overhaul. it even has brom considering closing their academy i believe, cos they would've put a lot more than 200k into him

West Brom will receive £235,000 in compensation from the Spanish champions, according to news agency Reuters.

What a laugh - compensation is way out of step. PL started this when they changed compensation to enable the quality young players to go to "better clubs". Who knows whether it is actually beneficial though in the end.

Maybe Barca really signed him 12 months ago allowing West Brom to claim 5m in comp..

Man utd aren't even trying anymore, what's the point of having a team that deals with transfers and negotiations at that club, they are just throwing money away.

Who have they thrown money away on this market? Both signings so far have been good business.

Arsenals 25mil bid for Tierney rejected by Celtic - SkySports

I reckon they should not bother messing around with Zaha and just focus on the defence. Stop the leaking and just rely on Auba and Laca to get the job done up top.

Daniel James. Was a panic buy. He's played just one season for Swansea and had that starring moment but other than that was just ok.
