That seems weird. Medicals these days involve a lot of tests and equipment. Player is more likely to travel to a medical facility that the club uses.
Ours are done in a NL hospital. The name escapes me.
Flying to Brazil seems odd when they could just fly him to London Colney.
Not by much and Maguire is PL proven.
De Ligt may not be PL proven but I think there's little doubt he'll be a top centrehalf, and will get a quality guidance at one of the best defensive clubs in Europe.

Maybe wages was the issue then? Who knows?

De Ligt has played in the semi finals for both the UCL and the UEFA Nations League, but he's not "PL proven" so he should be worth less than an older, lesser CB who plays for a mid-table PL team 😂

Yep.

What are you struggling with?

Playing for a European team against European opposition doesn't guarantee he'll be a success in England. Maguire is the safer option as he has played here for numerous seasons and clubs know what they'll get. As I already said Maguire is likely on lower wages too, but people focus on the headline transfer fee.

De Ligt is proven against better sides than whatever team you mentioned so what’s your point?

Will be interesting to see how Delph gets on. Was good for us, especially in the 100 point season.

Gets a chance to play more, and in his favoured position. Only doubt I have is that he was awful for us whenever he got a chance last season.

But a good character to have around the dressing room, hopefully it turns out well for him on the pitch.

Didn't he get knocked out by an English side?

Was that side sheff United?

Didn’t Maguire finish beneath 8 other English sides, didn’t Maguire get knocked out by another English side the FA and League cup?

Looks like being best defender of the era. Maguire no chance of that

You're right they're both shit.

Maguire to United/City is a lot further away from happening than people think. If at all.
The media have been nonstop pumping him up all summer. It feels like Leicester are behind this just to raise some big funds.

If you had a spare £75m only a fool would spend it on Maguire ahead of De Ligt

Weird that Juve have ended up with him then.

Which is why I suggested wages may have played a part.
