Wolves/Everton/Leicester should be closing the gap on the top 6 but I'm not prepared to say any will overtake them.

Digne and Coleman are good fullbacks. Pickford is a decent keeper. They need CBs though.
We have good CBs. Keane turned a corner last year and Mina will be better coming back from injury. He was a standout for Colombia at the Copa America and has had his time to adjust.

Who else you got?

Yeah I guess depth is an issue - Matthew Pennington and Mason Holgate are next in line along with some impressive youngsters like Lewis Gibson and Morgan Feeney.

Possible front 6? (Lookman and Gueye to be sold?)

------Richarlison
Bernard-Siggy-Zaha
----Delph-Gomes
Didn't realise Everton signed Delph

Not a bad get for them, versatile, just need to keep him out on the park.
Chelsea are massively vulnerable this season for me. Arsenal may be alright with some of the business they look like doing. Question marks still over United too. Of course I can’t forget my club, who have a tendency to screw things up although I think that’s unlikely if we get our intended targets and keep certain others. Reckon there is definitely a chance for Leicester and Everton primarily to not only break into the top six but perhaps top four
Nah, I reckon they could be a darkhorse

Very unknown really, playing more youf could be the best thing that could've happened to them

Plus Hazard is gone now, so there's a spot in the side for someone to step up into and be the main man. Perhaps the starpower load is shared instead?
It was more a comment on Chelsea and their 1237128973812 loans last year.
Easily 10+ years they've been doing this for

I reckon they needed to keep hold of Gueye on top of signing Delph. Rather than one being a replacement for the other.

LOL
Cost more and is much much more s**t.

They're only dubbing him that because he's brazilian and came from Hoffenheim. It'd be like dubbing every kid from Newell's Old Boys the new Messi.

Also because he's a record transfer signing they should be excited? Tell that to Fulham with Seri last year or Palace with Benteke.

Supposedly we'll only let Gueye go if we can sign a replacement.

I think Delph is a bit underrated tbh. He's a pretty good versatile all-round midfielder who will always put a shift in. I don't think either set of fans will like the comparison, but it's a bit of a James Milner-esque signing, not just because he's from City and they're both midfielders who can play fullback, but they'll offer the same sort of level, if that makes sense.

Mina should be better than last season if he can get fit, and they've got too very good FBs. Still an issue of where the goals are going to come from, but I think Silva is a good manger who has the potential to be a great one, so he should be able to work that out. If they had a 15 goal striker on top of what they have then I think they'd probably be the best of the rest, and a real chance to challenge for 6th. But even as it stands they'll definitely be with Wolves, Leicester and West Ham in that group challenging the top 6 hegemony.

2nd half of last season was great, but 2.5 weeks until the season starts & we still haven’t got a quality striker in. I was pretty optimistic of our chances of moving up a level, but that’s fading away now.

Haven’t replaced Zouma & he’s confirmed he wants to play for Chelsea - nobody standing out as who can take his spot. Mina has great potential but got injured a lot, we’d be ****ed if he picks up an early injury. Happy with Holgate as backup RB & 4th CB, but he’s been linked with another move to WBA.

Got Gomes & added Delph, but now about to lose Gueye who is about irreplaceable. Massive, massive loss.

Still don’t have a striker, only really been linked with Kean from Juventus.

Still need to move on Schneiderlin, McCarthy, Mirallas, Bolasie & Besic at least although Schneiderlin may get a reprieve with Gana leaving. Some people seem to think we wouldn’t let Gana leave without a replacement lined up, so I guess we’ll see soon

Edit - forgot Lookman is about to go to Red Bull as well for around £22mil, so there’s £50mil to hopefully bring in a DM & striker. Any other sales for a CB, then hopefully loan another striker & attacking player suited to the right hand side

Forgot about Martina, Niasse & Onyekuru if we can’t get him a work permit. Jeez that’s awful lol

Marco Silva on Delph/Gueye/Possible replacement.

"Gana (Gueye) is still our player and, of course, if we lose Gana then we have to sign a player to replace him because you are talking about one player playing almost all of the games in our squad. If it will happen then we have to replace him, it is not because we have signed Fabian Delph.”

20m€

Absolute steal if true. He’s worth double that. But where to play him. Weigl wants out so maybe he’ll get to leave

Where is he off too?
No idea - the sources I've read say the club will let him go for around 30m which is an absolute steal - but it's all about finding someone who will pay.

To be honest I hope he stays - he's a very good backup at CB as well as a great DM

What’s all this about?
I’m sure this stuff gets worse each year.

Tottenham in talks with Juventus over £80m swoop for Paulo Dybala

Could only see it happening with either Eriksen going the other way or Lo Celso not happening. Otherwise our AM/ST group will be far too stacked!

Kane, Dybala, Son, Lucas, Eriksen, Lo Celso & Lamela fighting for 3-4 starting spots.
