Not really, Arsenal are not exactly filling the club with what they need and that is defenders. They have Auba, Laca, Pepe and now Coutinho (if all goes through) - Only 3 of them can play at once you'd assume so they will rotate sure... but CBs are Sokratis, Mustafi, Mavropanos, Holding and Chambers? That aint getting many clean sheets.

Glad we held onto ours for another 12 months. Trying to find a suitable CB replacement next summer surely couldn't be as hard.

Getting people from the Portuguese league is fraught with Danger.. similar with the Eredivisie. I mean look at Ricky Van Wolfswinkel. Bas Dost also proves it after last season - banging in goals for fun but couldn't do that in Germany. Then you have Slimani for Leicester recently.

Dost was solid in Germany IIRC for Wolfsburg as a target man

Wolfswinkel was a dud though in the PL, helped send Norwich down

I think Eredivisie players aren't too bad though, plenty of quality over the years, Serie A players haven't always adapted in the PL though for example.
