Imagine someone who at the height of his earning power was making £5M+ a year getting a suspension and massive fine because he gave insider information to his brother that he might be transferred to Sevilla as that was the rumour at the time and the bet ended up losing anyway lol.

I guess you can’t even trust your own family with this stuff, if they love a punt, even if the bet is a losing one.

He could go to CAS and go for a reduced penalty.

Absolutely. I’d say that Daniel has set his Brother up in a house and with money too, because which multi-millionaire who is close to his family wouldn’t? So the bet likely didn’t need to be made and any winnings a drop in the ocean.

But getting a long suspension and a massive fine (even if it can be considered “pocket change”, not even a multi-millionaire would be too pleased with giving up £150k) would absolutely suck.
