They could spend half that on Telles or Tagliafico and get basically the same output. I wouldn't have thought Chelsea was that desperate for Home Grown players to need to waste money like that

they are 4 years older
chilwell is the national team first choice i think which brings a certain prestige too
they play in inferior leagues too and may not adapt

65m on Chilwell in a coronavirus economic climate is absolutely nuts. Theres plenty of decent LBs around, maybe the HG quota comes into play here.
