Maguire started slowly for us, but before Covid hit he really settled in and has been massive for us, he’s no VVD but he is no spud, very happy to have him.

My argument isnt really 7 years without the title, I'm just saying you havent challenged at all since SAF left and having a great manager is massively important in winning trophies and United simply dont have a great one. Ole is ok but he's not going to be the next great manager IMO. There simply isnt enough quality through the squad to be able to challenge.

You guys are saying I dont know anything about United, but I see so much of United in old Liverpool sides. We used to have a few great players holding up a bunch of sh*te ones. You look back at those United teams that dominated and they had a world class player in almost every position. That's similar to what Liverpool have now and what City have and that wins you titles.

That I agree with that we haven't challenged since SAF.

Takes more than just players to win a title the club also needs a great manager and to create a great culture at the club.

Would have thought PSG would love to have him but they basically signed an equivalent player in Gueye from Everton.

Reckon Kante shows his true worth when he gets to play in a midfield 2, when he's part of say a 4-3-3 he's not as influential I reckon.

Hard to say. Played in a 3 in the Super Cup and it was one of the best games I've ever seen him play.

I think his ability on the ball is a little undersold when people discuss his ability. His passing has improved greatly.

Yeah I guess what I'm trying to say, when he played with a plodder like Drinkwater who didn't cover the ground greatly but was pretty good on the ball, Kante really shows his worth because he can basically cover the ground of 2 players etc.

But as you say, probably for his time at Chelsea his ability on the ball has significantly improved.

Hes as reliable as they come for mine.

Though no ones ever 100%. But logic suggests Kante is happy at Chelsea so theres no need to sell him, its not like we're broke.
