Everything I'm seeing is 30m + add ons but not going to quibble.

20m down 80m to go if you want to play that game.

Really surprised if you're spending that sort of money on a striker that you didn't just get the risk-free Bats.

What’s the £100m you are going on about? Are you saying we will spend that much or we won’t?

Everything I have read is that it will probably be Rodrigo, Koch and Kent and that is probably it.

Thought it was a pretty straight forward comment. Bats is suggested to cost similar to what you've spent on Robert, but Bats has the runs on the board in the PL. Seems as a promoted club instead of pissing money against the wall on a gamble that could pay off or could be a flop, you go the safer option to ensure you get the goals you need to stay up.

So instead of going to Barca for 50m+ he's ending up at Leeds for 15m, probably suggests he hasn't had a fantastic season.

Pissing money against the wall? Jesz you've written him off already.

Bats has as much risk as anyone and he wasn't cheap with 100k+ wages. There's a reason Chelsea want to get rid of him.

HE has started 12 games in 3 years and hasn't shown any form as a consistent starter since his time at Dortmund.

Why do you think Palace aren't back in for him?

Not sure where you get your stats but he's started 14 games in the last two seasons alone, and that includes 2019/20 where he barely played because of Abraham and Giroud.

He played the second half of the season for Palace and scored 5 goals in 11 games. Not a bad return. He stuck it out at Chelsea in 2019/20 because of their transfer ban but was hurt by the success of Abraham. Palace have gone after Eze instead so that's probably their whole budget gone, but at 26 Bats is hardly a huge risk for a promoted club throwing around the sort of money Leeds are.

What are you on about now?

Barca tried to buy him not even 12 months ago and Valencia wanted £50m+ for him

We will sign Kent from Rangers and Koch more than likely, that will be it. So yeah, we might get to half of your 100m prediction.....

You'd think you'll have to sign more than just Koch.

He's apparently nothing special in his defensive positional abilities as a CB but has other decent traits in other areas.

Risky going into the season with only Cooper and Koch in the PL.

Bielsa will only want 1 CB in he doesn’t like a big squad with players sitting around doing nothing, he’ll use Ayling, Phillips or Struijk if ones injured

If that's the case they will get exposed quite a bit in the PL potentially.

Cooper isn't proven at PL levels and he's just about to turn 29.

Depth is important in the PL.

He started 1 premier league match this season and averaged 15 minutes a game.

I'm not sure where you are getting your stats from? If you want to include Cup games and the like, fine:

That's just the last two seasons. I was being kind and not counting UCL starts.

Any more questions?

Phillips, Ayling and Struijk can all play there.

Leeds dropping Phillips in there is no different to West Ham dropping Declan Rice in there. Phillips often drops into the center halfs depending on the opponents formation and when they are in possession anyway.

I would prefer another option, but it's the way Bielsa prefers his squads.

So he only started 1 game last season in the PL? Thanks for confirming exactly what I said.

Yes, one further question, why are you the way that you are?

You said he'd started 13 games over the last 3 seasons. He's started more than that in the last two alone.

No one was debating he only started 1 game last season, I acknowledged it in my first post. Your pedantry is amazing.

Lol, im pedantic?

I was talking about league games.

Jesus.

He's started 1 game in the last 12 months averaged 15 minutes a game and been a sub in all 4 CL appearances for an average of 20 minutes a game and some how he's meant to be our lord and savior?

Forget it, I'm not getting into a pissing contest, as no doubt you will be all over these threads like a rabid dog on the first goal less game Rodrigo puts out.

Just leave it.

Why? I have never seen him play and know nothing about him so keen to know what is wrong with him. Is he missing a leg?

Was fairly useless the last time he played in England, he is 29 and isn't really prolific enough to be worthwhile IMO.
