Juventus enters the race to sign Lionel Messi. They plan of the Messi-Ronaldo partnership. [SER, manu carreño

That would be so fun to watch for a couple of years. Can’t see it happening, though. Reckon only City and PSG can truly afford him.

Would guarantee Juve another couple of Serie A titles. CL not sure you can carry two luxury players. Both players arent exactly going to be pressing the opposition.

Reported Juve have agreed a deal with Suarez also. MSR ftw.

Suarez makes more sense

I thought he was especially disgraceful at the 2014 world cup when he won player of the tournament and lost the final in extra time.
I remember that World Cup well.

When Messi was announced as the player of the tournament, most, if not all soccer people were taken completely by surprise. It transpires that for the fisrt time ever, instead of the seasoned, hard nosed football writers and journalists voting for the best player for that year's World Cup, FIFA handed that decision to some FIFA appointed "Technical Committee", whatever the hell that means and whoever those jokers were.

To show what kind of ignoramouses were on this "Technical Committee", they chose Gotze as the Man Of The match in the final even though he played for about half an hour and scored the goal. These imbeciles looked at popularity rather than overall performance and of course, Gotze was hugely popular for scoring the goal in the final!

It's the same bullshit that saw Messi being conferred with the Player Of The World Cup, wildly popular with the 14 year olds who had Messi and Taylor Swift posters adorning their bedroom walls but an insult to any fair minded, football fan.

Mascherano was far better than Messi in that World Cup and Jimmy Rodriguez was miles better than Messi as were a host of other players. For me, Manuel Neuer was the Player of the tornament. He was faultless, imperious and the talk is that after Sepp Blatter left FIFA, he too was very surprised that Messi got the best player award.

Koeman has told Griezmann he wants to build the attack around him. It looks like from day 1, Koeman knew Messi wasn't going to be around, despite what he and the board said in public. It's actually understandable - they need the money and Messi is nearing the end anyway, if not now, then in 2-3 seasons. The way in which it's happening is just pretty disgraceful. A club icon like that deserves a proper goodbye and an immediate role at the club. Bartomeu and his group are now doing everything to bring back financial stability (because they're financially responsible for a shortage at the end of their term), but it was their lack of long term planning that caused this situation in the first place.
Unlikely to be able to afford it but pairing mbappe and griezmann up would be wise.

We've apparently accepted a bid for Diangana for 12M from West Brom.

He's probably been our best player this pre season, and if this goes through it shows how badly run the club has been from the owners. Absolute muppets.
