Middle of the table by Xmas and Franky boy is gone. Unproven already, Roman won’t have the patience after big spend and all that talent. Can’t see it happening though, too much talent and Kante back will help protect the defence

Looked others have said will certainly be entertaining to watch

People said the same about this season just gone, yet with a weak squad and playing youf we finished 4th. He'll be alright.

Didn't Franky boy just deliver CL football in his first season?

Some here seemed to suggest he’s safe no matter (they may have been sarcastic I don’t know). He did do well last season, better than many expected. I’m simply saying if he’s mid table at Xmas he’s in trouble. I don’t believe they will be.

No attempt was made to sign him.
Yeah no, I know. But didn't he actually talk to Klopp at some point? Or am I misremembering something?

He wanted to join, was talking it up in German media quite a bit. It was alll kiled off by covid unfortunately which worked out for you guys. I reckon he'll be a great signing.

I would have thought top 4 and signs of progress will be enough for Lampard this season.

Outside of the top 4 and there might be troubles. But I doubt Chelsea are expecting a title push just yet.

Pep is out of contract next season I think. I'd expect him to renew soon, even if it's only to end speculation.

Another season like last wont see him sacked (IMO) but he might decide enough is enough.

The whole Messi situation might change things. Can't see him coming and Pep leaving. So there is that.

Nah he won't be.

Chelsea went from 3rd to 4th. Hope Lampard is manager at Chelsea for a long time.
After a transfer ban and losing their best player. Maybe not the best take on it.

How did arsenal do?

Theres no techinicality about it at all. Messi said himself it expired on June 10. He could have ended the contract there and negotiated a short term extension like all the other players who had contracts expiring before the seasons end. Would have given the club time to prepare in the transfer market too.

Instead he cracked the sads because Barca got spanked 8-2 and decided that he now wanted out. For free instead of negotiating a transfer fee in tge middle of a pandemic. Piss poor. Bet you he wouldn't have tried this on if Barca won the double.
Yeah there is because the season would have been over June 10 before covid hit. He was just waiting till end of season. You see how Real treated Ronaldo? Look how Bayern treats Thiago (obviously not same calibre of player but they respect what he's done for club) and let them leave

Show me the quote that said Frank will be safe no matter what.

Real got Ronaldo out the door quickly before the rape allegations broke. Agreed a decent fee for him also.

Messi could have ended his current contract prior to June 10 and agreed a new short term deal until the end of the season. Hes got noone to blame but himself here. Thats the least he could do for the club that gave him his career and made him the highest paid player in the world.

After backing the integrity of UEFA for so long it's no big surprise to see Zidane come out firmly on Bartomeu's side.

It's quite the friends list he's building up. :D:D

No one cares what zidane thinks.

Its no surprise to see the defender of human rights abusers also come out with strawman arguments. Bartomeu is a twat that should be in jail.
