Probably be a loan after United poach Sancho off you.
not sure we need a another guy with 5g/a in 23 games. We've got Reinier for that

If Sancho leaves, I'd rather get involved with Raphinha... or Malen if we are going to splash a bit of cash

In fact, Kobel, St. Juste, and a Sancho replacement if he does go would be a mad window. Still think we need something at RB cos I srsly cant ****in handle Moonyay playing another game for us

Fairly steep for a 28yo striker with an average PL history tbh. I get he's put in two good years now with 25+g/a in Italy, but he's only ever done that once in England, and that was half a decade ago.

Surely if you're Chelsea, and you believe that Haaland's release clause is 75m next summer, you bank on Werner/Havertz developing more and try and push for Haaland in 12 months time.

Huh? Considering how he was treated at United, his record is quite good. 113 goals in 252 games in the PL.

That also takes into account his 10 games with Chelsea as a youngster in which he played 200mins.

One goal every 2,2 games is worth 80 million pounds? Oil money really has no boundaries

And yet United finished 2nd with a mediocre team according to most.

"I love him as a manager and as a person and I wish him nothing but the best."
Mediocre manager. Who managed to take a team that finished 2nd into the Europa League from an easy group in the Champions League. Basically the players got there despite the manager.

The team that previously finished 2nd is different to the current team and I thought United's players were no good?

There are some duds in there, but they have enough quality there to be better than they are playing and I dare say the 2nd position in the league is not representative of how they played most of the season, more a Leicester City type lucky run than actual performance. Pretty sure United won 4 games from deflected shots and saved a few from penalties - won't always happen.

I doubt Haaland would choose us, he'll end up in Spain.

25 goals in a season with Everton? 17 in 35 with West Brom?

But yeah no, he's pure sh*t.
Wow, you should write headlines for the Sun or Daily Mail with that sort of quote extrapolation.

He's a guy who for whatever reason has only had a couple of good seasons in what is 'the hardest league in the world to play in'. His Everton career is an outlier in the Prem. It was excellent. But for whatever reason, it didn't gel at United. He's played really well in a winning team in Italy, but Martinez also has 27g/a in the same team.

I never said he's an average player. I'm inferring that for a price of 80m, he has an average record. Drop that down to 50m and I think you jump at it. If I had the money to spend on a striker, I wouldn't see value in Lukaku for 80m. Especially when he was let go for 15m all those years ago.

Wow that’s a harsh take on Lukaku. From what I remember, by the time he finished his Everton career alone he had approx 85 league goals - and was still only 24/25 years of age. Not sure how he can be labelled as having an average PL record. The bloke is a beast.
You have to build your whole team around him for him to be effective. His limitations mean that he is not worth it if you are looking at winning the big trophies.

17 goals in 35 games for a relegated West Brom is not good? at 19 years of age?

World class striker.

If I was in charge of transfers, had 80m euro and I knew Haaland was no chance? My priorities would be in order:

1) Try and sign Lautaro Martinez for the same money (better age group, high ceiling)
2) Enquire into Depay (free transfer, PL knowledge is apparently important)
3) Activate Andre Silva's release clause (30m) and take a punt on Gonçalves from Sporting (15m)
