ABC] Sergio Ramos is leaving Real Madrid. The club has taken the renewal offer off the table, and they're now preparing his farewell ceremony.
If that's the case its not good news for Utd's pursuit of Varane. I'm pretty sure I've seen it reported that Madrid only had money for one of them, and this indicates they might have chosen to up Varane's offer instead

Psg fans:

"
-----------------Donnarumma

Hakimi - Kimpembe - Ramos - Bernat

-----Verratti - Marquinhos - Wijnaldum

--------------------Neymar

-------------Mbappe - Ronaldo"

Why bring Leeds into it? Had absolutely no relevance whatsoever on what was being discussed. But you know that. Weird

I was trying to figure out why you wanted him to leave Villa so thought I'd clarify that I didn't think he was moving to your club in case that was the reason. That was the start and end of it. You and Joop desperate to read in things that aren't there. If it was Bostonian insistent that he was leaving I would have similarly said "Why are you keen for him to leave, he's not going to join Brighton".

For more money, to play in a better team and Europe obviously

You're giving reasons for why he would move, not evidence that he is moving, which was the original question.

Like he said. It wouldn't be the first time a good player has moved up from. Mid table club. Even after a new contract

Again missing the point of the original question.

But if me or Bostonian or whoever simply states that there’s a good chance a player may move(according to amount of speculation and in Grealish’s situation not surprising) then why does it have to do with that poster’s team? Why link it? Like I said I don’t care if he moves and I reckon there’s zero chance he’d ever go to Leeds anyway. I’m simply a football supporter. You did the same thing with my comments on Lampard ie link it to me following Leeds.

I wouldn't be shocked if city got him and Kane

Best case scenario is 150-160m for the 2 of them and that's being conservative even with the covid transfer market. They'll need to raise significant funds from sales. Sterling & Laporte would be the most likely candidates but wouldn't raise anywhere near that much.

There's been plenty of reports that City are targeting Grealish.

One could make a perfectly reasonable observation that Villa might also be doing their current business to replace him before that deal goes down so they aren't held over a barrel as clubs often are when they receive a big transfer fee for one of their players.

IF you wanted rock solid evidence, this thread would barely exist.

I don't want rock solid evidence, the point was Barry seemed to be saying Grealish was virtually already out the door and that Villa are shit without him (also not really true but not really relevant for this thread) in the context of why Buendia would pick Villa over Arsenal, all I wanted was to understand why he was so sure he was gone.

Not sure about that…

There’ll be someone.
A price will be found if someone wants him. Villa themselves just paid £33m (and could be £40m!) for Buendia (what’s Raph worth thinking to myself)!! He has a decent Euros teams will pay.
Good chance he could leave that’s all. Speculation.

Yes, your "There'll be someone" is exactly what I was referring to, where you seemed insistent he was leaving. That's all.

Regardless, JWP and Buendia make them incredibly capable, with or without Grealish, and they are on a quicker upward trajectory than Arsenal.

Villa have spent 200m + net since returning to the PL. I find it unlikely that they could sign Buendia& JWP without recouping some money from player sales.
Billionaire owners, so long as they're still interested in putting their money in and it doesn't end up a repeat of the Randy Lerner situation I suppose.

Thats not certainty, how the hell would I know that?

They were ordinary without Grealish. They don’t have JWP as we speak. JWP played for worse performed team this calendar year. Buendia scored one goal last season. IF Grealish leaves they’re worse off.
