Interesting to see how that one works. Transfer window not open until at least July 26 and 14 day isolation requirement for international arrivals. So the earliest he could possibly get there would be mid august, around when the champions league is planned to conclude.

He's still a RB Leipzig player until the window opens and the transfer goes through FIFA's systems. If they let him join up with Chelsea to train before the window opens and he cops a serious injury Chelsea could pull out of the transfer leaving them empty handed. Plus there's a 14 day quarantine requirement upon travelling to the UK. I'd be surprised if RB Leipzig would be ok with it. Looking at history of deals done before the transfer window I can't find an example of a player joining up with the club before their transfer went through.
Can you find an example of transfers occurring during a pandemic prior to COVID for an accurate comparison?
