“The Thiago farewell is approaching”
Is this actually happening? One of my favourite footballers, but Milner aside we typically haven’t gone for players in this age bracket.

Surprised you didn't buy Werner if you do have money to spend.

Some Chinese Whispers about that we have agreed a deal with Dortmund for Sancho in principal.....If true then this is

Havertz has 2 years left on his contract doesn't he?
Rummenigge just wants him to stay at Leverkusen so that Bayern can tap him up next year to get him for free in 2 years
I think they will definitely close the gap, how much so is the big question. United's biggest issue in recent seasons has been beating the lower sides, our record against the top 6 is perfectly fine so with consistency it's not out of the question they'll be up for a title challenge.
I just cant see United being anywhere near the title race. What makes you think they would suddenly be in with a shout? And let's not include if's and but's like if they buy Sancho. We can discuss that if it happens but it hasn't and he isn't part of the squad.
United have won just 12 games this season. 12.
This is your 7th season post SAF, you've qualified for the CL just twice in seven attempts and not once, despite finishing 2nd in 17/18 have you been close to the title. Even that year you weren't in the race as City won the league by a record margin.
19/20 - 5th
18/19 - 6th
17/18 - 2nd
16/17 - 6th
15/16 - 5th
14/15 - 4th
13/14 - 7th
I don't really rate Ole as a manager and I don't think the squad is anywhere near capable of winning or competing for a title. Not enough goals in the team, a little bit shady at the back. DDG no longer the wall he used to be and the midfield is pretty average outside of Bruno. Pogba is talented but is an enigma.
I'm not clueless about United I just cant see where the improvement comes from to suddenly close a 40 point gap. You need more time into Greenwood, Rashford hasn't really come on like he was expected to yet and you've still got blokes pretending to be footballers on the list like Lingard, Phil Jones and Shaw. Matic and Mata are both well on the decline as well.
United need major investment. You need IMO three or four big money signings or at least signings that just work. You dont need to spend 75 on a VVD for example, we got guys like Mane and Salah for less than 40. But you just need to spend the right money and you need a big injection of talent to compete with the likes of City or Liverpool.
Why do you think you can challenge? I'm willing to listen and see your point of view.
Watch this absolutely happen. I’ll throw down 1000 on it

Martial. And rashford up to 20 goals each.
Greenwood 14.
Bruno 6 in 13 games.
I don't think goals will be a problem long term. Young set of forwards too.
Has there ever been a player so single-handedly transform a side, as quickly as Bruno has done at Man United?
Has he done that? Or are they just up against lower teams? United had a similar run in November with no Bruno.. similar level teams as well. His value has been overhyped in games United were going to win.Has there ever been a player so single-handedly transform a side, as quickly as Bruno has done at Man United?

Carlos Tevez at West Ham. United go from 6th to 5th. Wowee, transformation completed. In the 9 games before NY they scored 1 less goal, lost 1 more and drew 1 more. But you know, Fernandes has changed them SOOOOOOOOOOO much.Amir Zaki
Watching this game, Sancho isn’t actually what united need. They’ve got great chemistry up front. They need to replace that bum Maguire. Sancho would actually be money spent in the wrong place

What? No he hasn't...Sancho is the perfect addition.
