I'd love to say we are smart enough to walk away but we did make Kepa the GK record.
hopefully we’re not dumb enough to make the same mistake, spending 80 mil on Chilwell would be madness given others on the market

Probably because i expect the posters on here to generally more informed than twitter

Two crap defenders too.

Look Maguire wasn't worth 80m but he is far from shit.

Not true

If you say so. You seem overly critical at times, not sure anyone here really believes that the Bundesliga is a farmer's league.

This and the initial statement are two of the dumbest things I’ve read today.

If Bundesliga is such a farmers league, then develop your own fu**in players and leave us in peace

Are you OK with Dortmund sniffing around English academies for potential recruits?

Or does the "develop your own players and leave us in peace" only apply to English clubs?

Slight difference. Your clubs won’t even play them.

It‘s a league comprised of 17 farms and one gigantic mega city. So correct not a farmers league in totality. Dortmund’s arrangement with Bayern to be their feeder club/b side has reaped great rewards. (For Bayern)

Lol

Sancho left city because he wasn’t going to get game time. Phil Foden stayed. Who’s ahead?

Bellingham was offered more money at United but chose Dortmund because he knew he’d get more game time

The best player in the EPL (KDB) was left to rot on the bench by Mou. Went to Wolfsburg, the rest is history

Young players need game time. The EPL is in a tough spot because most teams are privately owned, and therefore owners demand a ROI. So they’re going to spend on established players more often than give kids a chance. The kids can either join a loan farm (like Chelsea), or move clubs, have some guaranteed stability, and improve.

Nothing I said is incorrect.

Sancho refused to train with the first team because he was tapped up as a 16/17 year old. We've got another kid, 15 heading the same way this window.

We didn't refuse to play either, but if that's the way you can justify sulking about English clubs targeting your players, while being perfectly happy with your club targeting English players then you go for it.

FWIW I have no problem with Dortmund's approach. It's been very effective financially. And the move for Sancho has been a very good one. We got him from Watford in the first place so I have no problem with his departure.

But spare me the hypocrisy.

Look Maguire wasn't worth 80m but he is far from sh*t.
