You seem really bent out of shape that we want White back. I don't really get it, he was with us on loan and played excellently so of course we are going to go after him. You have loaned him out 3 seasons in a row but you get very defensive of a player who's never played for you. And whats worse, Leeds fans taking the piss on twitter with #freebenwhite, or you getting your knickers in a knot about it? Just relax mate, its the ******* internet.

Not bent out of shape. I'd expect you'd want him back. Pay up what we want and he's yours.

You just said he's never played for us yet he was in our match day squad when we played against you in 2017 when Chris Wood scored twice. So that kind of sums up the whole Leeds fans knowledge levels at present.

What fee would you expect would be accepted?

I have no real number to put forth. Potter has been a fan of White's and wanted him at Swansea so you have to add on more money to the fee if you want our manager to lose a player he's keen to work with. There's definitely a premium price on his head due to that.

If we've got to sell players I'd rather they be going to top half of the table clubs than clubs around the bottom half of the table.

I don't think he's going if the offer isn't over 30 million imo.

We run a tight ship and not a lot of information gets out about our dealings.

The Joel Veltman signing point in case. It's what happens when you have a somewhat introverted owner who likes to play poker. Keep your cards to your chest mentality.

All this rubbish about BW is pure speculation. Made up by fake sources.

He's basically got 3 years left on a contract with us so unless we receive the price we deem he's worth to us he'll stay.

The problem is, you are financially in the shit.

Bloom has admitted on the record in the last few weeks you need to sell players and you have an inbalance of defenders on the books..

Your manager has already come out and said he's not for sale, which is in contrast with what your owner thinks.

I'm sure Potter doesn't want to sell Dunk either.

After all of the tough talk from Brighton, I fully expect White to be in either a Leeds or Liverpool shirt next season, Bloom wants the cash after very few sales in recent years and you have plenty of defenders which most Brighton fans openly admit think are better than White anyway.

As you said Bloom is a calculating and smart guy, no way he lets a 30m player sit on the bench and run at a big loss for another year.

Remember those times when most of the chat said Jorginho and Morata were brilliant signings, yet I was suss on them
Bakayoko
Kepa

Seems a trend of premature jizz ;)

Ake was worth 40m to wannabe champions. Is he really worth 3/4 of Ake?

Yep, you called him vanilla wasn't it and Napoli wouldn't miss him. So true.

At least we got our money back on Morata, hope we can do the same with Jorginho.

Speaking of Spuds Bakayoko should be ending up at Milan and will be permanent this time.

We're not in the shit. We're in the same position as every club in regards to the impact of covid.

Which is why Duffy, March and a few other players names are out there as potentially being off.

It's a squad size and balance thing more than monetary. We do need to offload some players for squad size reasons as it's not just White who has done well out on loan and will need game time.

Potter was simply shutting down annoying questions.

Dunk has earned that last big pay cheque. We developed him and have been rewarded ten fold.

We've planned out a development path for White no differently to any of our other players.

It's not tough talk,it's simply it's our player, why should we be dictated to over what to do with them?

I'd love for him to be going to a club bigger than us. That's not Leeds so we're better to hold onto him rather than sell him to bottom of the table rivals.

Your financial issues pre-date Covid.

Bloom and loan overdrafts have had to fund your transfer activity for the last 2 seasons.

Bloom is recently on record as saying he wants to balance the books.

You have barely sold anyone in the last 2 seasons. It is a complete monetary thing for a small club like Brighton.

There in lies the big problem.

You are spruiking him as a 30m asset, so he's going to want to be paid like one.

Which would most certainly put him up there with Dunk as your highest paid player.

I doubt Brighton are willing to do that at this stage.

Leeds will quite happily make him our highest paid player (Similar to what we did with Phillips last year after Villa's interest)

We've seen that all before. It's not the story people think it tells.

What you see is what happens when you build a modern stadium, world class training facilities and a category one youth set up after coming back from the brink of extinction as a club. We're also under no huge pressure to pay it back. Which is why we're blessed to have a born and bred fan as an owner.

We've not sold anyone because Bloom doesn't want to sell anyone, he likes to provide his managers with stable squads. If we were dire for money would we not be selling like mad? Would he be buying Belgian football clubs if he needed the cash?

Bloom's vision is for us to produce our own players so we aren't at the mercy of the transfer market. That's what he means when he says balance the books.

Thus players like White, Connolly, Alzate, Molumby etc under Potter will be given far more opportunities.

Small club hey? We've a modern state of the art stadium, world class training facilities and one of the select few clubs that has a category one academy.

Yet we're still a small club... It's not 1990 anymore.

None of us have any idea what's going on with his contract negotiations. No doubt we're doing exactly what we've done with Dunk over the years.

The question has to be asked how well ran of a club are you then if you're going to make a player that's not tested at PL level your highest paid player?
Given your man has said he'd like to follow a similar model to us in regards to building long term for the PL I'm not so sure you'd go out and make such a player your highest earner untested.

Milan improved big time after lockdown too

Dunno, maybe he'll suit them

Yeah Jorginho unfortunately is very limited, he's neat and tidy but lacks creativity and aggression imo

If he moved to Spain he'd dominate imo as a 6-8, use his passing skills more
